What happened was that every time he tries to pick off a person he leaves for the other alternate universe where another Jimmy is, but he didn't pick off that person.

Then one of the Jimmys tries to possess another person, where sometimes it succeeds and sometimes it fails. The failed possession knows it;s failed, and then leaves. Now there are 3 Jimmys.

This continues until a Jimmy arrives in the universe 200+ people on the moon base where everyone has been posessed, iteratively.

It just occurred to me, if the head closest to the body is the one they go into, how are they going to get out of these conjoined twin bodies?
