What's the essential Thor-core?

Check the official recommendation /co/mblr but I know the God Butcher arc from God of Thunder is on there and is probably one of the best Thor solo stories

Simonson's is considered definitive.
Definitely read Lee/Kirby too (although the first half or so is Thor punching gimmicky bank robbers and communists)
Aarons' first volume (although you probably already know that)
Come to think of it I found everything after his return ~2006 pretty smooth sailing.
In terms of minis there's Heaven & Earth, Astonishing Thor, For Asgard, Chaos War: Thor, Loki, Ages of Thunder & its various sequel volumes.
