He's been suicidally depressed for over a year now, being unable to leave his room and only communicating with his friends online. He is so dead inside that he had to beg a whole bunch of people to finish the comic for him because he realized he fucked up so hard that he couldn't do it. You can see from the clips of him trying to pet the horse in Dante's video that he is crippled with fear of the outside world, being unable to even talk about his own comic let alone anything. Dante basically had to do everything himself probably out of pity, including convincing him to even just go outside and just pet a horse in front of a camera. Meanwhile hussie is struggling to make anything work after literally every project he took on after act 5 was an abject failure. You can tell that he regrets allowing homestuck to go viral for all the wrong reasons. This isn't even funny, his life is in shambles and I don't think he can ever bounce back and create any new content after the game is done.
