Maybe. But she'd probably need to go to Onderon and I'm not sure I see it happening.
The issue I have with Lux is that he was a nothing-character. The only thing I found mildly interesting about Ahsoka's crush on him was that Ahsoka had developed a crush at all. What made it work was the that Ahsoka was testing the Jedi Code and Anakin trying to keep her straight while seeing parallels with his forbidden relationship with Padme. This has nothing to do with Lux as a person, he could have been replaced with anybody and what worked about that plot would still work.
Now Ahsoka's out the order, she doesn't have those restrictions which made things more intriguing. Now any interest in a relationship between them comes from why they want to be together and I don't see Lux as a strong enough character to make that good.

It's not like this is new. We've known for ages that Dooku was basically a placeholder and Anakin was the real prize he was after.

Granted, Sidious still wants the strongest apprentice possible so if Dooku had succeeded in killing Anakin he'd just go "wow, I really thought he would be stronger, oh well, guess I'm keeping Dooku for now."

Despite being the top prize, even Anakin was technically expendable. If Sidious ever found a strong apprentice, he'd have sacrificed Anakin too. We see him doing this with Vader, who is Anakin at severely reduced potential- even before this whole Cylo business, we saw that he was eyeing Luke as a replacement way back in the OT.

Yeah, Dooku wasn't his ideal choice but he worked as a fallback. That's probably why he even bothered inviting him into the Sith and teaching him, he needed someone to be able to carry on the Sith way in an absolute worse-case scenario where either Anakin washes out or Sidious gets munched on by a Zillo Beast.

Not quite in that way, but you can still inflict mental pain on people. Mace, Anakin and Obi-Wan ended up stepping into this territory when they tried a three-way mind trick on Cad Bane, who was clearly in pain. Ahsoka even looked uncomfortable just watching it.

Yes, it's a sub-Force power of Jedi Mind Trick, basically probing someone's mind forcefully. Similar to how Vader probes Luke's mind in RotJ or Kylo does to Poe, where he goes too far with it trying to obtain information.

So far the only real Sith Force Power is Lightning, everything else Jedi have used at some point, and most of the Force Powers beyond Lightning are completely whether you use them for good or evil, with Lightning being obviously only for offense, unless you just see Palpatine shooting it at random generators or some shit.

I think you're taking the "Dooku did a good job" part too literally. I don't think Sheev is saying "Dooku was a great guy, he was really good at what he did" so much as saying "I needed a weapon to blow up this dam, Dooku was a good weapon, sucks to be him though." Even if you're including TCW into this, I think by then Dooku had already done the job he needed to, which was starting the war and creating the big boom Sheev needed. His fuckups during TCW don't really factor into it since by that point he already did what he needed to do and was only being kept around until Sheev felt Anakin was ready to take over.

i dont think that's quite the right interpretation. vader starts plotting against palpatine on mustafar because he's drunk with power, thinks himself to be a god, and wants to make the galaxy the way he wants it to be with padme at his side. after he gets turned toast and padme dies, he has nothing left to live for and throws his entire life into the service of the emperor. there's nothing in the new canon yet that indicates that at any time prior to ANH he schemes against sheev. he's the wrecking ball of the empire that loyally does whatever palpatine asks.

lords of the sith is full of times where he basically realizes how masterful and great palpatine is, and how his lessons are harsh but make him a better sith.

Maul being a hitman was old EU and hasn't been canon even before the canon purge. In his return in TCWs Maul has been shown to have known about the coming war. He also executes the building of a criminal empire in a fairly competent manner, acquiring Mandalore and it's influence over 2000 systems. We also know that Maul was one of those "special" people who caught Sidious' eye, so much so he broke off a mutual trading of secrets with the Nightsisters to grab the boy and run. Something about Maul was deemed important enough that he had to have the boy as his Apprentice.

Fortunately even as he lost Maul another special little boy caught his eye. Creepy, really, but That's Our Sheev™!
