The episode is good, but it absolutely doesn't solve the other issues this season has had. It's just a nice little pause, building up hype with the speedforce and setting up Jesse Quick. Plot-wise, it was nothing too special, but it's a reminder of how good a show like The Flash can be when it's not trying to create drama for zero reason (e.g. the dads don't spend the episode brooding but instead get their shit together pretty quickly; fun banter between Cisco and Iris instead of any kind of weirdness; etc.).

It felt more like the fun, comic-booky Flash in the majority of Season 1, rather than the "child of Arrow" that it became during this season.

As far as we can tell, the two(?) remaining episodes are still going to be trash.

What was the consensus on this episode? I only just watched it and thought it was a lot better than the past few episodes except for the Barry/Iris romance feeling cheesy and zombie Girder being a kind of dumb plot point, but I don't know if that's because it was actually that much better or if talkback threads with /co/ really influence my opinion that much.
