That's easily one of the worst episodes of any cartoon series just for how shitty Bob's life is portrayed. His entire family constantly betrays and shits on his values the entire episode.

So he dismissed her cooking, homemaking skills, etc, basically the only things she takes pride in as a stay at home wife, in favor of Bobby's.

Okay, I'm no expert, but: The idea of "The Dark Ages" and more broadly the entire Medieval period being a period of massive ignorance and brutal feudal oppression are myths that were invented during the Renaissance, the Protestant reformation, and how much Mark Twain hated Walter Scott.

Even as a girl this episode pissed me off. It made it worse that it felt like it was geared towards female viewers to be like "yeah, teach that little shit!" But it was just irritating as fuck. Dipper did literally nothing wrong. It's not as if he promised to start dating all of those girls, he just talked to them.
