>>82554673
They come from a fevered, autistic mind and are only remembered because of the horrible train-wreck that is the authors life.
>>
Hilarious, depressing, confusing, enlightening, traumatic, cathartic, they are many things at once.

Sonichu and everything related to CWC is an experience you just won't find quite anywhere else.

I'm really waiting for what the next step in the saga will be. Anyone know how those lawsuits that were pending worked out?
>>

who is worst acording to /co/ chris tard or dobson?
>>

Dobson because he has some degree of raw talent and training, but chooses not to improve, seems to have no capacity for introspection and has idiotic opinions. Chris isn't a good person, but /co/ at least recognizes that Chris has mental limitations and is a victim of a neglectful upbringing.

They just make me sad now. Chris Chan just makes me sad.

Perhaps its because I've gotten older, but I just feel we've moved on to a point beyond having a laugh at his expense and gleefully taking the piss out of his latest sperg out to somewhere where a small but dedicated number of people go out of their way to ruin his life just to get us more "lulz"

Is he a terrible person? Yes, but you have to temper that with the fact that he is literally retarded. LIke I'm not sure that he'd know how to look after himself retarded. He certainly couldn't hold down a job

I just feel sad because he is at the end of the day a victim. A victim of the internet. A victim of his parents. A victim of the time he was born in and the fear that he would be institutionalised if his parents got him help. A victim of America's piss poor mental health facilities. A victim of his own autism, of his own mind.

All of those have come together in a perfect storm to make the monster we see today.

I can't take joy in that

>Chris chan makes me feel sad isn't true

Pedantry aside, yes it is. His parents didn't get him help as a kid because they thought he would get institutionalised. Americas mental health systems at the time (and still sort of are) poor. His parents didn't get him help and then pretty much allowed him to roam free to do what he wants despite the fact that his social skills are abysmal. This is a person who couldn't understand why women wouldn't instantly love him, so thought that they best way to "complete his love quest" was to become transgender. Social skills are not his strong suit. These are facts.

The internet has not helped him. There are people who deliberately try to rile him up to get more sperg outs. Check his facebook. That's right, you can check his Facebook because despite all the shit the internet gives him he leaves it wide open.

He absolutely is a victim of his own mind because he has fucking autism that holds him back in nearly every single aspect of his life.

You don't have to like him, but it would be ridiculous to assume that he is inherently a bad person and that there aren't factors that have helped to shape him this way.
>>
>>82556594
did you watch the documentary someone did on him on youtube?
>>
>>82556670
Mate, have you ever actually been around someone with Autism? Its a spectrum. Some people with the 'tism can live relatively normal lives.

Chris chan is not one of those people

You saw how he reacted to sonics arms being turned blue. He can't just turn that off, He still thinks he's in the right, not because he is inherently an asshole, but because to him that makes perfect sense.

HIs autism literally prevents him from making rational choices sometimes. That would certainly prevent him from holding down a job

I know we pretend to have no compassion on 4chan, but come the fuck on.

thats whats wrong Im not being a dick about it Im just saying it healthy to have people like him work
>>
>>82556818
America's mental health institutions are fine. His parents' paranoia over what might happen were they to seek help for their mentally-challenged son were in no way justified.

And yes, he absolutely is a product of his very poor upbringing. He's not inherently bad because no one is; they're just inherently selfish, and Chris is a person who has absolutely no incentive to not be as selfish as possible, because for the past thirty-odd years, he's been allowed to sit at home and collect money simply because of his autism, and he was never taught how to properly function. This has resulted in him becoming a bad person, even though he is not inherently bad.

The issue is that his parents never bothered to push him to try at life, so now that he is well into his adult years, he has no incentive to start trying now. He developed a victim complex toward his autism, which he uses as a scapegoat for all his problems, and his parents never corrected him.

The people trolling him obviously didn't help things, and some of them were patently terrible as well, but Chris was a bad person before they ever got involved.

He saw that they turned sonic the hedgehogs arms blue and thought that the best course of action was to go down to gamestop with edited box art (I believe it was hand drawn) and leaflets campaigning to get his arms turned back. Then he pepper sprayed someone who asked him to leave the store cause he was fucking with their stock.

He still to this day feels that he was in the right.

He did that feeling it was a perfectly rational and reasonable course of action and despite having to go to court about it, has not changed his position one iota

These are the kinds of decisions he makes.

Maybe not on a daily basis, or a weekly basis, but this is what he does. Check his facebook. His "friends" on there have tried talking to him and explaining that maybe he should change his stance, he won't.

That's ignoring his tendency to flip out over tiny things. How many CURSE-YE-HAMEHA'S! do you reckon he could get away with before they let him go?

If you think someone like that could hold down a job then god help you.

The best option in my opinion would be to institutionalise him in order to teach him that some of his aberrant behaviours are wrong. You'd never "cure" him, he'll always be a slave to his autism, but you could attempt to teach away some of the major stuff.

Just throwing him into a job won't solve the problem

People with mental illnesses are far more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrators. It's autism coupled with mental illness (which it often is) that causes violence.

There's a difference between poo pooing his behaviour and doing nothing about it, like Barb has for 30 years and realising that his control over his emotions and thought processes is not the same as that of a person who is neurotypical, and trying to help him

It's not a binary choice between compassion and locking a literally mentally retarded person up anon.

Why not both?

>What happens with Chris after she croaks it is the interesting question.

It's not interesting at all. It's the same thing as always happens: he's on his own, he gets a job, loses it in a sperg out, ends up on the street, commits a crime in a sperg out, and winds up in the US's primary mental health system, by which I mean prison.

Well he was diagnosed back in the 80's when autism wasn't understood in the way it was now, and they were scared he would get institutionalised. Which ultimately would have been far better for him, but hindsight goggles, right?

After that I'd imagine a healthy dose of denial is at play. Or just a tiredness.

I mean I've got a daughter and as much as I love her to bits, sometimes you just long for bedtime so you can have a bit of peace. I'd imagine that's what leaving him to play video games and make comics in his room was for her. What letting him out the house to go to the mall for the day was.

Yes, Chris has his own wiki that is updated constantly. I legitimately think, no fooling, that he might be the most documented person in history. Most documented person who isn't a world leader certainly.

Also look up Liquid Chris while you're at it. He was a kid who basically made videos saying he was Christian Weston Chandler and for some reason this riled up Chris Chan to no end.

Shit like this happens and people still seem to think that he could hold down a job.
>>
>>82556090
While the neglect that passed for an upbringing in the Chandler household probably could damage someone, Chris is nonetheless a genetic fuckup like every other. His parents had him very late in their lives, and both had below average IQs. The existence of Chris-Chans in the word are not anomalies, they fall within predictable bell curves. It's just that Chris found fame.

Similarly, the fact that Dobson was able to take on some training at all, but failed to ever apply it to much, is inherent. Tabula rasa is a fallacy.

>>
Chris could have a job if he were beaten in to submission and never interacted with the public. Like, he could be a janitor at a warehouse or something, if there were an overseer with a whip looking over his shoulder and physically beating the hell out of him whenever he did something wrong.
>>
Chris definitely couldn't hold down a job, but autism is just a final kick in the teeth. The guy has
a) a low IQ
b) a monstrous ego
Autism or not, that's an unemployable combination.

Chris is disinterested in having friends or socialising because of his autism. Neither of these things are absolute barriers to competency, we can all think of some prominent examples of successful people who also fit that. But none of those people are also mentally retarded.
>>
>>82556888
His low IQ leads him to irrational decisions. His autism is just flavouring - he irrationally violates basic social standards rather than irrationally following trends.
>>
At first glance it seems like a Shitty hand drawn comic about a sonic oc. But when you look closer into it, you realize that it's about his life and everyone who did him wrong, it's kind of sad
>>
>>82557002
The autism scale is an unproven theory. In reality it's just an increasingly bloated label for "this person doesn't care they're socialising wrong". So you get Chris-Chan labelled as "high-functioning" when he can't possibly have an IQ above 100, yet because he's not a twitching vegetable he must be high up on some scale. The simple solution, which is recognising that there are many different potential causes of missocialisation, is ignored because parents like Barb throw a pissfit.
>>
>>82557165
He used "but" in the sense of "except for", and omitted an "I would/that would be the case" on the end for what he assumed would be comic effect.
>>
>>82555933
Dobson by a country mile.

See because his art isn't THAT bad. It's nothing great, certainly nothing to write home about but he is able to clearly and consistently draw characters. I genuinely think most of his problem is his writing. If he got a writer a la Tycho and Gabe, he wouldn't have half the problems he does

He just refuses to take any criticism in the slightest and acts stuck up about it.

He's also incapable of admitting he is wrong. Like when he drew a picture of him being sad at his girlfriends Hanukkah and when she got understandably upset that he didn't just fucking talk to her about it, apologised and then went on a rant about how he was right.

Chris Chan is also mentally deficient, but at least there are clear things that have happened to him like his parents and the internet that have turned him into the monster that he is

Dobson is just a stuck up dick.

Humans always pay more attention to the positive than the negative. It's what lets you not die in the face of danger and pitfalls - spotting problems and talking about them endlessly so that everyone knows everything about it.

Basically we're collectively treating Chris-Chan as a dangerous social phenomena, and by documenting the telltale signs of his behaviour we innoculate ourselves to another, less famous example we may encounter IRL.

>>
>>82558154
It's not really that he could hold down a job. At this point, he certainly couldn't. I think that idea came from a bit on CWCki.

The point of that bit was actually directed at Bob, who apparently believed that Chris sitting on his ass and collecting disability dollarydoos was more profitable than a minimum wage job. It's not - not by a long shot. The point was that Bob should have gotten Chris to get a job, in the early days post-high school when he was actually somewhat functional.

The sketchy linework, the childish coloring, the Comic Sans'd lettering, the unreadable composition, the moronic plotting, the flat characterization, the unbelievable worldbuilding, the hackneyed concepts, the nonexistent development, the superlative derivativeness, the shallow themes, the disgusting morals, the lazy scheduling, and the complete insanity of its creator. Wait untill Snorelax kicks the bucket, which will be any day now. Barbs gone, money runs out, they kick him out of the house with all of his crap and that will be the end of it.

He'll beg his brother to let him stay with him.
>>
>>82559890
That's not gonna hold him over for everything. Besides, we all know he'd just blow it on more lego before worrying about bills.
>>
>>82557312
>Are you really saying that the kind of people who feel the need to take a gun and shoot up a place are in any way not mentally ill?
Wanna hear something scary? People who do things like that aren't always mentally ill. humans are just like that.
>>
>>82559890
At the end of the day it will not cover shit. We know the priorities Chris has and even if he would stop wasting it on Legos and shit, the tard bucks won´t even cover half of his expenses.
>>82559933
He all ready did that. somehow he must realize that shit will hit rock bottom, so he tried to get in contact with them in the hope that he can move to thier homes, fill them whith is junk and leech of them for the next 30+ years.
Spoiler: They were not very keen on that idea.
>>
>>82560141
>aberrant behaviour
>Not mentally ill
>>
>>82560188
Does Chris contribute any of his tugboat money to bills or the dwelling he is occupying? He'll probably have to start making no small monetary contributions to his brother and maybe do the cleaning and shit to get him to even consider it.

He could probably just barely scape by in a really tight apartment somewhere if he looked for one...

Tugboat?
>>
>>82560250
It can be both. Some people are just weird via personality, upbringing or environment. A mental illness would require something literally hard-wired into the very core of his brain.
>>
>>82560378
His cheque from the government. Calling it his tugboat is a Chris Chan meme I beleive.
>>
>>82560475
It's similar to the idea of "your ship has come in", but because it's a reliable payment from the government, Chris and his family call his welfare cash a tugboat instead of a ship.

Yes it's dumb.
>>
>>82560250
It isn't aberrant behavior. People are just like that without society, social contacts and family too keep us in check were little better then chimps.Sometimes people just snap lose hope. At that point they don't care anymore about rules or social restrictions their original programming kicks in. We're only a few thousand years outta the jungle anon.
>>
>>82560330
I would love to see animatic tranfer from the left outfit through to the right.

>>82560378
He calls his tardbucks a tugboat for some labyrinthine stupidity.
>>
>>82560330
We´re talking abou Chris here. He doesn´t contribute shit and he won´t starting to do so even if one of his half brothers would suddenly want to ruil his life and invite that bundle of joy and fail into his home. I doubt he even understands the concept of paying for your dwelling, and even if he did, he thinks its his basic right that others pay for all of his expenses while he plays with Legos and vidya.

Of course he doesn't.

Chris never was going to have a happy ending was he?
>>
>>82560682
No, no he isn't.

Its kind of bleak seeing pictures of him before the internet happened to him, knowing that's the last time he would be truly happy and relative to his life after, stress free

Chris will likely end up homeless not long after Bab's eventually dies. Then what? I believe in absolute seriousness we will see pictures of him emerge holding up a "homeless sonic fan please help" sign with a picture of sonichu on it or something while he lives on the streets No joke.

Maybe he'll get himself arrested for something, maybe he'll be put in a psychiatric hospital. Maybe he'll end up as a John Doe under bridge somewhere. All I know is I stopped finding this funny ages ago. If it weren't for his useless fucking parent he would never have ended up like this, he didn't deserve to end up with the existence he's had.
>>
I just want to see Chris be happy. After all the shit that's happened to him, he kind of deserves it.
>>
>>82564540
He could probably just sell the house and move into an apartment if it came to that.
>>
>>82554673
It's just as bad as the actual Sonic games
>>
>>82557163
The strange thing about this is that it's not necessarily the autism that could cause this, that's the big hullabaloo. His parents have refused help. He doesn't keep track of his health and eats mountains of shit. His parents helped enable him by feeding all of those obsessions for years before we came across him.
We can argue for quite a while about this, but it's gray enough that it's not as simple as this or that. Also, he's had a couple of jobs before, they didn't go great, but he could control himself insofar as getting the job in the first place; it seems like he's just become more and more unhinged since the house burnt down and Bob died, going to greater lengths to try and force what he feels as right.

Anyone else feel terrified when they think of Chris?
>>
>>82564830
That won't solve his life for very much. There is still the problem that he has zero social skills and no one will look for him.
>>
>>82564621
No he doesn't.
>>
>>82565395
You are not alone on that. What truly scares me of that think it's this culd be me or you. Really.
>>
>>82565532
I could actually see the CWCki doing something to ensure he doesn't die on the streets.

>>82564889
I wish there were Sonichu games. Holy fuck, my phone has Sonichu on my auto correct. What have I become?
>>
>>82556978
>But that would mean paying Chris royalties.
Is that possible? Could that save him? Financially, at least. We always talk about him being the case study of the century, but what if something like that actually happened? Would he in any way profit financially from some thesis on him being published or whatever?
>>
>>82565599
But who will do thing for him like cooking or cleaning? The fuck up destroyed his ps3 just because someone trolled him to do it.
>>
You guys are aware there are like homes for mentally disabled people. That's where Chris will go. A depressing home for retards
>>
>>82565763
Guys, do you believe that if someone tells him that if he trows himself from some high building for a high amount of money, he will do it?
>>
>>82565856
Sounds like a depressing version of Mansion Foster.
>>
>>82565864
Probably

Chris appears to be stuck with the creative capability of a 7 year old. When I was 6 or 7 years old and started drawing my own comics, I would do a lot of the things that the Sonichu series does: I'd copy storylines from other comics/shows I liked and redo them with my own characters; I'd start writing a story without planning how the plot would progress and then introduce completely new plot elements at random; and if I lost interest I'd put a comic aside without finishing.

That's what I did at SEVEN YEARS OLD. I learned more and more about writing and story structure as I got older, and as a result my work got better. Chris is over 30 years old and has over 15 years of drawing experience, yet his comics can still be mistaken for a child's work.

I think the reason he hasn't improved is the same reason he has no job or employable skills. As >>82557041 said, his parents discouraged him from getting a job after his gig at Wendy's because they thought he was so deficient that the only way he could ever make money was through welfare. He has been actively discouraged from improving himself or taking initiative throughout his life.

>>82554673
At least he is not rebeca sugar
>>
>>82558841

Wy do you think people constantly compare him to Harry Truman?
