Pearl doesn't know much about humans, but it was clearly shown in Historical Friction that she does know about Earth's history, and both in Space Race and Gem Robot (I think that was it's title) it's shown that she's very good at building, so it's not a very long reach at all to assume that she's good at mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc.

Speaking of Ruby and Sapphire fusion I always wanted to see Garnet a really personal scare arc from Gem Abominations. Sure fusion is her religion but I want to have an episode where she confronts a gem abomination made up of fragments of the other Rubies that died when she saved Sapphire. Hell if its shown that Blue Diamond either died, her pearl was ganked, etc throw some of her shards into the mix. It would look like pic related but has Ruby & Blue gem eyes that open up into lamprey like mouths. It would have a hair like mane similar to garnet/ruby's afro while the hands constantly grabbing on Garnet's hands trying to crack their gems. All while the eyes blink into mouths and whispering in a distorted voice. I could hear it give off tortured cackles and breaths as it musters the words traitor or monster. Then Garnet has a mental break and either disperses or finally kills the monster in a violent episode. She doesn't know her own strength and their gem shards shatter into dust. Steven watches in horror while Garnet clenches her teeth. They stare at each other for a while as a wind blows the dust away, bonus points if it sprays into Steven's face.
