Guts would probably just cause more problems than he'd solve due to the Mark of Sacrifice attracting anti-christ Griffith and Apostolic entourage to my doorstep (besides, it takes him a decade or so just to ride a boat.)

I'd probably end up going with Conan to be honest. But I'd have to supervise and accompany him, one can't trust a thief not to just 'forget' about their employer's share of the loot. The only difficulty is Conan has a history of his companions dying to open up a new story... so I'd have to realize when to cut my losses and end our contract.

But really, it depends on the size, strength, etc of the monster.

If it's roughly dinosaur tier, Conan is a good idea. He'd charge more than Guts, but there's a slightly lower chance that his presence would cause everyone within a mile or two to suffer some terrible fate as a result of entering his narrative (your chances are much better if you're female). If the monster is any bigger than that, or has some bullshit power like superspeed, Guts is your guy.

Conan is more of an anti-hero than Guts has ever been. Even in his surliest of days, Guts protects the weak and innnocent from the corrupt and wicked, no matter how much bullshit he gets tossed by the authorities while he does so. Guts at his worst was a generally neutral mercenary that fought other mercenaries and soldiers, while Conan's been a thief, a pirate, etc.

I'm not saying Conan doesn't have his own considerable heroic qualities, but trying to say he's more straight hero than Guts? C'mon.

Conan is a excellent warrior fighter, capable of stopping a lot of foes. Even magic users and various monsters. With just his might and skill for combat. I'd pick him if the hunt for this monster is strong.

Guts has armor better than anyone. A huge sword that took down a twice ascended entity. And survived a 100 km fall. I'd pick him if this monster is near the level of a demon or dragon. Something I couldn't even see myself surviving the fight.

I don't know if you've ever read any of the actual novels, but literally everything Conan does is self-interested. He does heroic deeds, but he does them when there's something in it for him, or for survival.

He's a cutthroat. He spends a significant portion of his life as a pirate, and more of it as a thief. Even his ascension to kingship wasn't benevolent in the slightest. Conan is byronic to the point where he could happily rub shoulders with most of ASoIF's cast, and would probably get dat Iron Throne via pure thuggish cunning.
