my reaction to the ending wasn't outrage, but apathy

everytime someone mentions the Homestuck game, I keep thinking of the Yogcast game and how they'll both probably have the same fate

As a writer myself, I'm so conflicted about Hussie

His output and work ethic are(well, used to be), astonishing. He did Acts 1-4 in less than a year, and that's no small task.

But with Act 5 and beyond, he really, well... he kind of goes off the deep end. He becomes so meta that it kind of stops being funny and starts becoming both self flagellating and self-indulgent.

The meta commentary on Homestuck reaches its zenith in Caliborn's "Homosuck", but as legitimately funny as that is you really end up feeling like he's gone way too far with the meta crap.

So it's weird. I can't help but admire Hussie for his output, but I think he legitimately fell in love with himself about halfway through the comic.

I think Hussie's shame lies in the fact that he wanted to do Epic Scifi Adventure with Homestuck, but took the easy way out by going full fucking tumblr with the trolls

Remember when First Guardians were super threatening and generally big deals? They were INCREDIBLY nerfed in favor of building up the Condesce, Lord English and the LE-themed Jack (he blew up all of Prospit, remember)... And then these three turned out to be major letdowns too.
