He hasn't, it's highly doubtful he will outside of a Force Vision or if this somehow ends up crossing in ANH, which it is possible considering we're on Year 29 heading into Season 3 and ANH is Year 32. Where as Season 3 will like the other two seasons be half and half 29 and 30. With Season 4 being 30 and 31, so Season 5 if it lasts that long will cross into Rogue One/ANH territory.

Well it's not technically dead until it gets old enough to uproot itself from the ground and tip over. Since all trees the older they get the more they lean until they rip themselves out of the ground and die.

Considering the force and the tree is facing straight up, it could seemingly live forever. it's more likely that the force has just left the tree at this point, but the tree itself is still alive. That's all I was getting at really.

A girl falls in love with a Sith Lord.

Lucasfilm are following the legacy and lore that Lucas left. That Jedi don't choose their color, and will USUALLY get blue/green. But Yellow, White, and Purple exist in rare cases. And Red too, but we don't know where Red ones come from. In Legends, they were synthetic, but who knows in Canon. Maybe some Sith trial on Moraband to get them.

In the case of white, we only got that color like 5 years ago, so it's not out of the question for more rare colors to show up.

We also don't know what each color means, and why they get assigned to a Jedi. All we know is the Jedi who get Yellow are all Temple Guards. Some anons speculated that maybe the Yellow ones are man-made too, and given specially to Temple Guards, but I find that idea a bit farfetched. I think, in my opinion, Yellow crystals are gifted specifically to the Jedi that are destined to be guardians of the Temple. Just fits with the lore better I think.

Purple and White are a complete mystery. I hope they eventually answer this stuff. I don't want them to take away the mysticism of it all, but it's just sort of weird that there are randomly rarer colors with no explanation as to why certain Jedi are chosen to use them.

But, I digress, Disney has said nothing about restricting the use of Lightsaber colors. Just last year Ahsoka showed up with brand new white ones.

I personally think Rey is going to get a dual-sided Yellow Lightsaber, and Pablo can cause a sea of nerdgasms in the Ep 8 Visual Dictionary where he confirms that it is an old Jedi Temple Guard design.

Disney haven't said anything, this has ALWAYS been the lore regarding Lightsaber colors, even before TCW. It's why, in AotC where we first see all the Jedi in their glory, they're 99% blue/green with Mace's Purple Lightsaber as the rare exception.

This continued into TCW where the only other colors was the rare White color from Tera Sinube, and the Yellow ones from the Temple Guards.

Disney hasn't restricted anything mate, it's always been the case that 99% of Jedi get Green/Blue.

That's honestly not a bad idea at all. If they REALLY wanted to make other colors more common, they could explain that Illum produced only Blue/Green, and that the other Crystals just come from other locations.

I really want some tomb-raiding adventures with Luke and Rey

The only part of that obviously fake Episode VIII leak that I liked was the parallel to Empire where finn/poe are captured and Rey wants to leave her training earl to go help them, but instead of counseling her against it Luke says he has his own way of doing things and actually goes with her to help fuck up Kylo and Snoke. It's nice pottery and shows that Luke has truly become a master in his own right and rejected some of the teachings that caused Yoda and the old Jedi Order to fail.

Where did that system start? Was it Kotor? I guess it makes sense within the games, and clearly they took the idea of temple guards using yellow from the sentinel association but I've never liked it as an in-universe explanation

I prefer the explanation that the jedi just had set places where they'd go for crystals (like in TCW) and when you found the one that was attuned to you it was yours, green or blue or whatever (but for whatever reason most of them naturally just form as green or blue)

The old EU story about how Mace Windu had to basically climb Space Everest to get his purple crystal should be recanonized though I think

Make it so that rare color crystals are very difficult to find or in extremely dangerous areas so it doesn't make much sense for young padawans to get their first ones there

Yellow crystals might come from a planet full of natural dangers and beasts for example, so only older Jedi are allowed to go harvest those specifically for the temple guards

Not forever though, once Padme showed up and he Force Choked her, and he realized he had killed her and the babies in this case (seeing as there is no medical droid), Vader's rage would have been threefold and he'd have become even stronger, and left Mustafar. You now have a Vader without the hindrance of the suit growing stronger and stronger, as Palpatine said "Even if you strike me down, Vader will become stronger than either of us" to Yoda.

That and they had no idea where Vader was at the time, Obi-Wan talked to Padme about it remember, she refused to say, so he boarded her ship in order to find him. Yoda and Obi-Wan split up because they figured that they could create a chance, take down Vader, the Chosen One, who if he got too powerful as time went on, it would be too hard to ever take him down, whereas Palpatine could be taken down in the future, his power is finite, which is why he has that whole deal of wanting to become an immortal Force God.

Starkiller almost ruined the movie for me. I basically need to create all sorts of headcanon rules for it to sit well with me even a little bit. Its way too big and makes the Death Star (what is supposed to be essentially the most important threat in the whole Star Wars continuity), and makes it look like a pussy bitch. On top of that, they take down Starkiller so easily, it makes the Death Star look even MORE like a pussy bitch.

On top of that, the First Order should have had nowhere near enough funds to make something that is essencially 10x the size of the Death Star. They are only a fraction of what the Empire was and somehow can create superweapons that are that fucking big? They were supposed to be doing this in secret according to the novels.

If I could change one thing about The Force Awakens, it would make Starkiller Base into a moon-sized weapons manufacturing factory that the Resistance needs to destroy. Instead of blowing up the New Republic planets, the movie would cut to First Order agents assassinating New Republic representatives of the planets.
Doing this would allow the Death Star to keep the charm that it had in the Original Trilogy, and would make things work a bit better continuity wise. Starkiller was such an unimportant part of the plot in the first place, it being a superweaon was even distracting from the plot. Making it a weapons factory makes it feel like a side story, which is what it was supposed to be

Yoda sent them there to learn, unfortunately for Ezra it involves the dark side, for Kanan it involves being blind and being more in-tune with the Force, for Ahsoka it required finally coming to terms with what Anakin had become.

I think the purpose of it was beyond that for the Inquisitors was that they would be there too, to strike down the Dark Side, no more mercy from Yoda and the Force, that will get them to stop chasing you around. Remember the Force works in such a way where thinks always work out right.

I remember back during the very first trailer that showed off the double-bladed lightsaber from Maul, I thought it was great, I was a kid, but my cousins who were much older and had seen Star Wars since the 80s, did not, they thought it was stupid and silly and wouldn't work.

Make Kanjiklub and the Guavian Death Gang survive and set them up to be cool in the future because they have cool designs. This way you also wouldn't have wasted the guys from The Raid.

Keep Maz's castle, but change one thing - it doesn't belong to Maz. Maz doesn't exist. Instead it's just a large spaceport with a central hangout area. Finn still decides to leave with Crimson Corsair, and Rey wanders off and has her force vision in the forest instead (for pottery with the degobah vision). The lightsaber has nothing to do with it - Leia brings the lightsaber after the First Order attack. It makes more sense for Leia to have Luke's lightsaber.

That would work I think, and I'm with you. Spending more time in Han's new bachelor pad would have really helped the movie. It needed to slow down after the escape from Jakku and the Eravana is growing on me.

You can save someone from the dark side, but you have to cause someone else from the PT to fall to the dark side in their place. IE: You can save SS from the dark side, but Plo-Koon for example falls instead.

They don't have to be from the same time period, the latter just has to be from the PT.

So last night I was doing some thinking, when I realized that if it wasn't for the Rebellion, the galaxy would essentially be at piece with the Empire ruling.

Of course, I quickly realized that of course the rebellion is necessary, because the Empire is run by a sith lord, who throws the force off balance.

And then finally I came to the shocking realization, that nobody knows exactly why the galaxy needs "Balance in the force".

What does it even mean for the force to be "in balance"? What could potentially go wrong if it isn't? Why are these questions never answered?

I want to see a novel or something showing exactly what the consequences are for having an out of balance force. Maybe jedi who only use the lightside are unable to use their powers? Maybe things just generally go to shit and the galaxy is essentially cursed with bad luck?
