It's not even New52 Superman though, Pre-Flashpoint is taking over as the main Superman. They just didn't want to give him the red trunks back.

And now that we know that there are some origin tweaks with Rebirth I wouldn't be surprised if his history is integrated into the New 52 Earth, and that's why he's immediately appearing all over the Justice League books too.
