But it's the same thing, as you even point out in your own example, just because the main character can physically beat the opponent doesn't mean there aren't still stakes to the story or that the heroes can't have problems. There's more to making a superhero story than letting two guys wail on each other and seeing who comes out on top.

Waid's Flash is so well regarded because he understood this, there was a lot more focus on Wally as a character. When Wally gets lost in time or whatever and that future Flash guy shows up in the present, the tension in the storyline was not from whether Wally or future Flash guy could punch their way through some obstacles. Will Linda be tempted by the new guy? How will Wally get home without Linda acting as his anchor and her feelings for him seeming to fade? Just who is this new Flash and what does he want, why is he so into Linda? Those were what drove the story, not necessarily speed force shenanigans.

I'm assuming because One works with Mura for OPM and both are canon despite Mura doing his own thing for that.

it's been thoroughly disproven by people who did actual math. if you watch their videos, death battle made the erroneous assumption that almost dying powers up saiyans to a certain scale, which is bullshit. not only that, they assumed his flight after snake way was incredibly shortened because all the snake paths twisted the same way.

then they threw in one-off feats of supermans while ignoring the same for goku. "Goku can't destroy planets as easily", when vegeta did so effortlessly before the end of the first arc, and goku fought him to a standstill before his first powerups.

then you get into 2, where death battle just waves off the fight as "oh, goku SHOULDN'T win."

by the end of the cell games, gohan, a super saiyan 2, was able to hilariously humiliate cell, who was able to blow up a solar system.

by the end of Z, goku outclassed even that, with similarly strong fighters(gotenks, super buu) able to yell holes in reality, and then you get GT which is a whole other mess of bullshit.

It is known that Toriyama helps Toyotaro, that doesn't mean it's the main canon. Toriyama gives a storyboard to TOEI and one to Toyotaro.

And I already told you what's said in the interview is that the anime uses Toyotaro's character designs, not his story. In fact it's pretty fucking obvious because the manga is different from the anime and it's even behind.

Except Murata doesn't do anything for OPM, ONE is the one writing the story and Murata only draws like he did for Eyeshield 21. Meanwhile Toyotaro can change the story and Toriyama even told him to do it if he wants since the manga is his.
