Remember that last week I said I was gonna make a simple animation but my motivation was lost when the thread got deleted while I was making it?

I have a weird thing when drawing Hope, she hardly looks like the one in the show when i draw her since I have a very specific way to draw lipstick lips, the one in the animation doesnt even have Hope's trademark eyelashes because they looked very off when animated sadly, so I had my fears of people not even recognizing her...

I think your Hope is quite recognizable — if nothing else, her hairstyle is very distinctive. I think it's not a problem, if you adopt a more personal style, in regard to Hope's makeup: the important thing is that the makeup itself shows at all, as it's a distinguishing feature of the character.
I personally have HUGE problems portraying Janna, instead: the shape of her head is somehow ineffable for my brain. Speaking of which, this week has been beyond unproductive, for me: it's been COUNTER-productive, as I've spent a couple days trying to draw "Track Runner Janna" for NW, only to realize that the end product was terrible, and that I have to restart from scratch. …I'm not feeling very motivated currently, sorry.

Janna's face is really the bane of my existence: she has a square jaw in the cartoon, and at times even more sharp! And also, she's quite asymmetrical most of the times, probably to convey how shifty she is. When translated in my style, she loses all femininity, and I struggle to keep her faithful to the original, while making her somewhat pretty.

There, I elongated the left leg somewhat: the result is really more pleasing to the eye, at least to me. To sell the perspective even more, I could go so far as to "ink" the left leg with a thinner outline.

I'm not 100% faithful to the show's style and proportions, that's for sure: though I guess I'm improving on my own style, little by little, and the feedback from the general greatly helps with that. After all, in that very drawing I had made corrections on both Jackie and Hope's face, thanks to Anons pointing me in the right direction.

No kidding: despite how prevalent they are in the series, scenes where characters hug can look quite weird for that very reason: in order not to have their head too close, in fact, Star and Marco are kept sliiightly apart.
I guess it's an inevitable trade-off.

Well the show's proportions a relatively fluid, hence the numerous examples of Star's alien faces ignoring the fact that she is, in fact, an alien not withstanding. For real though, with fan related content there's a balance between being true to the show's style and having ones own styles relatively in-keeping with the show. I personally value your work in the context of the latter, you clearly like a more adult take of the characters proportions which is understandable and certainly appreciated.

Have you ever given thought to trying to have a go at the shows actual style? Whilst there's no need to, individuality is lauded within reason, you may find even more anons appreciative of your work, especially when season 2 and 3 hits. Similar to the efforts of >>82329501 I suppose, closer to the shows style but bolstered with a personal touch that makes the art that much better.

Oh, well it was only a suggestion, perhaps even more of an inquiry at best. I was mainly curious to see if you ever planned to try it, I'm personally very happy with your style, modern shows tend to favour the noodle arms/leg setup which can be somewhat visually unappealing, certainly in the case of female characters. So by all means, if you feel comfortable with your style, stick with it and refine it as you see fit, I imagine it'll only get better over time, as is already seemingly the case.

I mainly use the path tool: the outline is usually 9 points, main lines are 6, and details 3 or so. The some edges or connections I do by hand with the normal drawing tools, as well as other details.
That's pretty much the only way I know for me to draw as cleanly and precisely as I prefer.

Nothing had been confirmed either way, but people think Star X Marco is strongly likely to happen. Outside of stuff in the show, Nefcy has said Star is based on herself, while Marco is slightly based on her husband. She's also made out with her husband while they cosplayed as Star and Marco respectively.

The latter, if nothing else the show will have a great deal of cute, romantic moments over it's duration. I mean, Star and Marco's interactions are absolutely great in the first season, even if they don't get together they mesh so well as best friends it's enough to enjoy that.

I'd say if you enjoy a simple show about magic, close friendship and hijinks then you should definitely give it a go. Just remember the weakest episodes are some of the earliest ones, you can skip them if you're not into it, then come back to them later when the better mid and late episodes invest you enough in the characters.

Marco and Star have one of the absolute best Main Girl x Main Guy dynamics you will see in a cartoon, many say that alone is worth wtching the show.

Aside that, Marco has a love interest with a background girl and he makes ACTUAL PROGRESS at getting close to her, and there's some hints that another background girl MAY have a thing for him.

But there's a lot of focus on Star and Marco as friends, with some liiiittle hints at something more here and there, regardless its a good watch.

In their defense, from what I've seen, a lot of the stuff they've made has been pretty good. But of course, that's only if you don't take the the subject seriously and can stomach the more "colorful" works.
Still, the Loud House threads seemed so alive and fun to discuss in. It's a shame that all this crazy crap has happened to such a young thread.

Thanks for asking, I was just about to comment on the progress of my latest story, a Chantelle Greentext.
So far it's been going good, testing out various scenes to see what sticks and seems good. It's taking awhile, but this is my first Chantelle story so I'm taking the opprutunity to give it the special attention it deserves.
On the plus side, it's coming out longer then intended so it'll hopefully be worth the wait. Oh and yes, there will be booty to enjoy.
Other then that, the PonyGirl story is on hold until I figure out where I wanna take a particular scene, a story scene about Jackie, Janna, Leah, and Hope talking about boys is nearly complete. And I'm working on a special sneak peek about a certain fusion of characters.

Awh yess, truth be told the image in the OP has me in the mood for a solid Chantelle story.

What sort of characterization you going with for her? I always liked the idea of any story with her and Marco getting together being due to her pursuing him with intent whilst the other potential suitors look on in the typical cartoon fashion. It makes a nice parallel to Sabrina as the more passive alternate love interest for Marco when his primary and secondary options aren't in play.

Marco always struck me as the kind of guy who becomes putty in a girls hand if they show romantic interest in him, which makes the idea of a predatory girl's interest pretty hot in my books.

I know what you mean, the fact that the majority of main characters are all related leaves little material for crazed shippers to work with so the most of the work is, as you've said, bound to be about incest. On one note, the main character Lincoln supposedly does have an unrelated girlfriend or crush, so there's hope for material that dosen't focus on the sisters.
