Why don't the contents of the lotus capsule get duplicated? No special properties of the capsule besides perfectly preserving something until it opens are given in the comic. There are ways for Hussie to handwave it but until then, it's going on the big question's list.

We should have a second (doomed?) Bec Noir and White King running around. Now seeing Bec Noir react to Crockercorp drones, that would have been interesting. It could've also been used as an excuse for Sawtooth and Squarewave not turning up again, as they were destroyed fighting him off.

It'll be a long stupid ride that will leave you ultimately salty and bitter like the rest of us but it's a ride worth taking.

There are still a few characters that aren't shit that you get to meet, still a few really hype moments here and there, and some moments that will, in the moment, seem really cool and innovative but will in time ruin the comic beyond the point of no return.

If there's a point where you should drop the comic, it's a point halfway through the last quarter of the comic that everyone here knows. It'll be really cool and it'll happen right before the comic goes to unspeakable garbage.

I think the biggest trouble with active/passive was how he defined them. Active as direct versus indirect passive is okay, sure. But active as harmful versus passive as helpful? That's a cool dichotomy but I don't think that's quite at the tip of everyone's tongue. How was Dirk harmful while Gamzee helpful? Was it just that Gamzee served to help Lord English while doing what he did? That sounds a lot more like "Commanding versus Servile" to me, which is both a neater fit for the terms active/passive and aligns more with observed canon.

Thief and Rogue, Prince and Bard and Knight and Page are obvious pairings. But Seer, which is confirmed passive, has at best Mage as an active, even though we also know Mages are "fosterers", which is not something I'd call Seers in any sense, active or passive. So perhaps there are more classes than we have observed in the comic. The active Seer has never been seen, neither has the passive Maid and so on.

It's all food for thought. Perhaps a class can also have multiple active/passive counterparts. Hussie never said they were strictly one-to-one. You know the tricky shit he's done in the past. Heirs strike me much more as a passive Thief than a Rogue when you actually examine their powers and roles. Rogues are more like a reversed Thief.

What is signficant however is that Hussie went out of his way to reveal the active/passive dichotomy, but not much else. A strange decision, as it opened many cans of worms.

I wasn't mad about active/passive because of roleplaying or anything. I was mad because codifying the classes changed them from mythologically significant symbols to game mechanics. It killed the poetry of it all.

Terrain generation is something I've taken a big interest in for my hobby stuff, and as such I know a fair bit about noise and signal generation and how to make decent landscapes from that. The crazy variety that the lands show would be pretty neat subject matter for that.

What are your ideas?

Multiplayer is something that I've also been trying to get to grips with, but it's a bit beyond my comfort zone still. It's 100% something you should try and get in as early as possible though, as restructuring to accommodate it can be an absolute nightmare.

i had this same thought while watching Act 7. I think he's set up both Aradia and Sollux to be the requisite cameos in whatever the next MSPA is. as a deliberate recognition that there must inevitably be some kind of connection/cameo (as with PS->HS), but that it can't be allowed to get out of control.

The only pairing that actually becomes relevant is Rogue/Thief, mainly because Roxy and Vriska remained important characters long enough for us to see their powers.
