He was pretty popular with his videos at the time more so than his animations(esp on eBaums world). This was actually really cool. I think making it a throwback to the 70's style of graininess and rough voices really added to the atmosphere. Not to mention, nothing feels bombastic. Scenes are allowed to play out and nothing is dominated by something being unsubtle. I think it's more that we're so used to the over the top style of storytelling these days that seeing something like this that is more laid back and dry in humor comes off as genuinely cool.

That was excellent, goddamn. The 70's vibe really helps elevate the light raygun gothic vibes in StarFox while having the writing be so low key kind of balances out the inherent silliness that comes with trying to make anything tonally darker that a Saturday morning cartoon with anthros. I especially love the banter with Fox and Wolf, Fox imo always had this issue of just being too much of a straight man in the canon works so its nice to see that aspect being played with by having it set up him being so anal about what he gets referred to as. And Wolf is just a delight though for me that's a given considering he's already one of my husbandos. Slippy having a stutter/lisp is cute as fuck too.

i really love the whole retro cartoon vibe to the whole thing, the voices are pretty decent, wolf's voice is fucking magical, that grizzled veteran voice is just fucking fantastic.

But perhaps most importantly, the script and writing are fantastic, nothing too grandiose, cringeworthy other than the little in-joke about the legs (which I get) but was still funny. Plenty of gifs and reaction faces to be made.

Seriously, the writing is amazing, like everyone else i was expecting shit for the majority of it with a few decent parts like in the previews. But the lack of action is made up with good writing and great banter that doesn't sound forced.

About time this got released. I am always worrying when people make IP based fanthings and promote the shit out of them for years, never releasing anything. Those things are the ones the respective companies will notice and C&D unless they release it fast enough.

That being said, i liked it. The grittiness and colors worked so well together. I liked the visual filter and audio distortions. Everything seemed thought out in terms of style.
The writing was decent and varied from great at best to mediocre at worst so that's a plus.
