For one thing, MILF is a generic term used to describe an older woman regardless of whether or not she's actually a mother, secondly, how do we know she isn't?

>>82177879
Let me fix that for you
>Battlefront II
Widely regarded as really good.
>Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy
Decent Doom/Quake style game, literal masterpiece, pretty decent, good but the difficulty fluctuates weirdly, good
>KotOR I and II
Pretty mediocre when viewed without nostalgia. Writing is typically mediocre Bioware, but there is some good stuff there if you can slog through
>Republic Commando
Really good, but the difficulty is bizarre
>Starfighter
Pretty decent, got nothing on TIE Fighter/X-Wing
>TCW: Republic Heroes
Haven't played
>Empire at War
Could be better, could be worse. I'd skip it.
>TFU and TFU2
Story is hot garbage, controls on PC are awful, gameplay gets repetitive fast. I'd skip them.
>>82178375
>dad
I'm not old, I'm 20
I'm out of touch
>>82178325
older women are cougars only when they actively seek out younger men, otherwise the generic term MILF is used when the male is chasing the older female
>>82176551
Actually it's more likely to be Doom than Revan. Doom's mask actually has a distinctive nose, like that figure does. Revan's GirlyMandalorian mask is smooth.
>>82178474
I always thought KOTOR2 was legitimately great but it was handled by Obsidian, not Bioware proper
>>82179086
If it hadn't been rushed it would have been even better
>>82179086
Are you talking about official KOTOR2 or the one with all the cut content restored as best as possible?
How do we fix him?
>>82179327
I like that the people who programmed the official update patch last year spoke to the restored content mod guys about how best they could make it all work together.
If that isn't a tacit indication that the cut content and expanded ending should've be part of the story I don't know what is.

>>82179469
I hope his decent into the Dark Side is actually long lasting and not a three episode event.
I still remember those Transformers: Prime episodes. Man they pissed me off.
>>82179908
Which Prime episodes? The thing with Optimus?
>>82175254
>It's a General Grievous fucks shit up episode
>>82180079
Yeah, that.
>>82180079
Only thing I can think of, which is odd given Optimus turned Orion Pax never went evil, he was just an amnesiac being lied to. Nothing really came from the other direction either since Knock Out joining the Autobots didn't see too much action but there was no time left to show him doing more than being fed up with his own side because Starscream was a dick.
I appreciate Ventress' slow semi-redemption arc, especially given there was a very vocal minority back in the day who said it was impossible because Yoda would never have told Luke that the Dark Side forever dominates your destiny. That if he knew redemption from the Dark Side was possible then he wouldn't have considered it impossible to save Vader. TCWs had an excellent creative team, and so does Rebels, but Filoni has had some excellent contributions to scripts such as suggesting Ventress be included in the arc where Ahsoka is on the run.
Still never got around to finishing Dark Disciple. It sucks how her story was really meant to end there, however more could have been made of it if the episodes had been produced. I've heard the book didn't do it any justice.
>where it turns out that Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala's attraction toward one another during the battle was not undetected by the other Jedi, such as Yoda. The latter asks Obi-Wan Kenobi to talk to Padmé in order to dissuade her from advancing her romantic relationship with Anakin. Using her political skills, Padmé lies by pretending to concede to Yoda's whims, and asks for Anakin to escort her back to her home planet of Naboo, where, unbeknownst to Obi-Wan or anyone else, she and Anakin will marry,
MAD WOMAN
>>82178474
Empire at war space battles are worth buying for alone
>>82174569
Does more of this exist?
>>82180551
Even though it was far from perfect, I actually enjoyed Dark Disciple. In some ways, I think it almost worked better as a book because it helped her arc stay gradual--what happened in the book would be seriously condensed in a 4 episode arc. Hell, most of the problems people had with the book could have probably been solved by making it longer.
I think the fact that it ends there is also something that helps explain Yoda's stance.Especially since Vos would have died had Ventress not saved him. It ended sadly even if there was redemption.
>>82180654
It's all a woman's fault, bravo George
>>82180962
Ventress was supposed to have an 8 episode arc but i dont know how much of that is the whole book series
>>82180962
>>82181164
The whole 8 episode arc is the book
>>82181164
Ah, that's better, but nevertheless, there was definitely a sense of a good amount of time passing before things even start to gel. Which makes sense for Ventress--she's definitely one who needs time.
>>82180551
>I appreciate Ventress' slow semi-redemption arc, especially given there was a very vocal minority back in the day who said it was impossible because Yoda would never have told Luke that the Dark Side forever dominates your destiny.
It's funny because in a way, it very much did for Vos and Ventress, despite the rather twisted redemption end. Probably going to read it again. Despite some of its faults, I did like the arc overall, and a lot of what was in there would have looked great in animation.
>>82181240
Is the book actually good cause ive heard nothing but negativity about it
>>82181290
Most of the negativity just stems from Quinlan Vos' behavior throughout the latter half of the final few acts. He's erratic and repeating himself over and over in fits of desperation and self-assurance, when actual dialogue would have been more bearable. But honestly, given he'd never experienced the shit the Dark Side can do to you before the events of the book, it's somewhat excusable.
>>82181417
I mean, he was running purely on emotion at that point - he wasn't even sure of himself, let alone his plan.
>>82181290
>>82181290
I liked it, but can see why it might not be everyone's cup of tea. The ending skips a lot more than the beginning did, which can seem awkward, but the insight into the Dark Side of the Force and the Council's dealings were worth it to me. And Ventress is one of my favorites, so as much as it sucks that there isn't more, I enjoyed the ride.
>>82181417
This is true. One of those "show, don't tell" things, which is funny because I think the book did well showing before that goes underway. He was alsotortured relentlessly in some of the worst ways, so I think it's understandable.
>>82181519
Dooku was trained well in the art of the Sheev. As soon ashe brought Tholme's lightsaber out, I knew exactly where things were headed but the pacing of the scene had me all sorts of tense. Would have loved to see that moment in animation
>>82174569

It didn't seem pointless to him though, he saw what he thought needed to be done and sacrificed himself for the good of the Republic and his own people. Numerous times during the series the Jedi try to capture Grievous, saying how it could finally end the war, and a handful of gungans manage what the council, their child soldiers, and an enslaved clone army couldn't.
It's not Tarpals' fault that Anakin and Padme managed to screw it all up for everyone.

I'll repost it to the /aco/ thread since the pastebin I put it in was set to expire. Be warned, it's very rough as I've never written fiction before. There's some TG transformation (hence the use of Mara Jade as a rough model) but it's not particularly pornographic. The Grand Inquisitor was never a temple guard.
It was a part of Kanan's vision.
It's not meant to be literal.
>>82191172
Him being a temple guard is literally the one part of the vision that is meant to be taken literally
>>82191172
Based on how Filoni and others are talking behind the scenes they're leaning heavily on him being just that. Why would you be surprised Yoda would make that part of his vision? After all, the Grand Master of the Order would know who is behind the masks.
>>82179908

>>82191215
>Why would you be surprised Yoda would make that part of his vision?
Yoda didn't craft the vision.
It was the Force/the Temple itself.
It's like the cave Luke goes to on Dagobah.
The Force shows you things that are not always literal.
Kanan was afraid that his violence was leading him to the Darkside. So he saw this teacher as the Inquisitor.

>>82191370
Not according to Filoni, anon. It's in the Rebels Recon for that episode which was released shortly after the episode aired. Go ahead and check it out.
At any rate the Force ALSO knows who the Grand Inky was since it's, you know, the Force. So if it makes him a Jedi to be symbolic why not what his role was? At any rate it WAS Yoda in charge of the vision. That's why the knighting scene meant as much as it did, because it was the Force AND the Grand Master of the Jedi who knighted him.
>>82191493
Ah, right, you're trolling. Or stupid.
>>82191370

>>82191532
It's not, though.
No more than deleted scenes.
So I've gotten every planet but the Unknown Locations and Outer Rim planets done so far in terms of "This has system/sector mentioned, the primary terrain, whether it has orbital period info, sun/moon info, and where it was first mentioned", just generic stuff, not going into super great detail like "The rebels fought here in a book once".
My question to all of you is, should I bother including the Unknown Location Planets, there are 240-260 of them in current canon, so that's going to take awhile, even the Outer Rim will take awhile as there are 97 of them in current canon. Some of the unknown planet locations include "Ahch-To, Shili, Dorin, Champala, Cartao, etc." for a good indication of some you may have heard and some you may not have.
I'll throw it up on pastebin for you all when I'm done either way, and people can edit it with info as they see fit, because some I'm not sure on First Mentions due to old Databank mentions that I just don't remember.
>>82179469
Aren't they planning on a complete overhaul in terms of design next season? He shouldn't look like a dork anymore and hopefully won't act like one in light of his recent blunders. >>82191574
Deleted scenes are different, anon. You know why? Because they've been deleted. And you know what else is true? Sometimes they get readded.
You can believe it or not, that's on you. But the creators of the show certainly have a lot more weight to their opinion than you do. These are the people who set and declare canon.
>>82191585
Add them, but maybe add a little indicator next to them saying that they weren't discovered until later?
>>82191613
>These are the people who set and declare canon.
No, the material sets canon. It is canon by nature of itself.
What is canon is the material. If it's not directly in the material, it's not canon.
Simple as that.
A doodle an artist makes on a napkin isn't canon.
Nor is concept art.
Nor is a discussion about the material.
All these can become canon, but until it's in a final work, it's not canon
>>82191574
It's not, though.
>The Grand Inquisitor was a Jedi Knight. The Grand Inquisitor, Pablo Hidalgo and I have been debating which one he was, but he is one of the temple guards that arrests Ahsoka when she is accused of treason against the Jedi Knights. And he is also one of more importantly the temple guard in Clone Wars that is with Anakin when he fights Barriss Offee and arrests Barriss Offee for treason. So he is one of the two guards I believe that escorts her into the giant courtroom where Palpatine is overseeing everything. So he hears Barriss’ complete speech about the corruption and the state of the Senate and Jedi Order. And that is kind of like a seed that gets planted in his mind about she’s right. And when Order 66 comes out, he further realizes how right she is about all of the corruption. So it was like the beginnings of his descent into the Dark Side.
http://www.slashfilm.com/the-grand-inquisitors-backstory/
Pablo is the guy who can tweet canon into existence. Filoni is the guy who is going to get Kathleen Kennedy to add Rex into ROTJ as that bearded old Commando helping Han blow up the shield generator on Endor.
There's this little concept known as Word of God. You should look it up.
>>82191647
I've got them all under a list of Unknown Locations and stuff like that, I have them separated by where they are in the Galaxy as of right now. Core Worlds, Mid Rim, Inner Rim, etc. they're all done barring the Unknown Locations (Unknown Reaches are done) and Outer Rim.
For some of the planets for instance, I just have Unknown Info, because there really isn't anything on the planet, like the planet Tarkin learned to fly Starships, I just have unknown info under that one, just because we don't know anything about the planet at all beyond a very basic thing.
I'm sure someone will go through it after I upload it and make it a bit more concise and better organized, but for now I just wanna get them all in one clear cut place for everybody to go through and see generalities about them.
>>82191660
Behind the scenes materials are canon. It's why Rebels has Recons and also a trivia section for episodes on Starwars.com. It's why they interviews with the creators. It's why events at Celebration are so widely watched when these people discuss their shows. It's why they host fan Q&A sessions.
They set the canon. They control the horizontal. They control the vertical. They rule Star Wars. Doesn't matter how much you dislike it.
>>82191660
>A doodle an artist makes on a napkin isn't canon.
>Nor is concept art.
>Nor is a discussion about the material.

>>82192083

>>82192141
Well don't worry guys, I'll get these planets done one of these days, just on the D Planets for the Outer Rim.

>>82192083
When places are focused on that happens. Mandalore for instance has Mandalore, obviously, Concordia (a moon), and Kalevala. Fortunately Concord Dawn is allowed to be it's own system.
>>82192199
It's kind of crazy though how many planets are just in that one sector alone, granted a galaxy is a big place.
Apparently Dagobah is also further from the Core Worlds than Bespin, so that's interesting to note.

Some people are just that dense. Maybe Inky was Snoke???????
ANOAT SECTOR ALL DAY ERRYDAY
Thanks Uprising! I believe that the Anoat Sector is now the most populated part of space.
>>82192523
Sure, why not. After all, we never saw Inky's body. Yoda's vision doesn't require that the Inquisitor is dead, after all, he could still show up.
But now you have to deal with the problem that Snoke looks nothing like an Pau'an. Your saving throw is, as usual, that since he's a hologram he could appear however he likes to disguise himself.
>>82192542
Why act surprised? Nearly every single world in Star Wars, from total desert biomes to total snow biomes are habitable and almost all have something living there. Random asteroids have giant space worms.
Fort Anaxes located on the planet Anaxes showed up in TCWs. By the time it showed up in Rebels the entire planet had been destroyed (apparently that CIS doomsday bomb was eventually detonated) BUT Fort Anaxes itself survived on a chunk of the planet that still has air, normal gravity, and life.
You know what this means? It's very likely that Bail Organa is very probably still alive surviving on a chunk of Alderaan that was blown away from the rest of the planet. He's been floating around in space for decades sure Leia will eventually find him.
>>82192676
It's more that I'm surprised Uprising introduced so many planets and that half of the Outer Rim in canon now is in the Anoat Sector.
>>82192728
There are 98 planets in the Outer Rim in canon so far, of which 26 are in the Anoat Sector. That's way less than half.
>>82192728
In Uprising isn't the sector locked down by the Imperial governor so nobody learns that the Emperor is dead?
>>82192793
Fair, it just seems like there are a ton when you're going through things.
>>82192807

>>82192828
>I believe a good chunk of it is yeah.
I'm surprised the game isn't in an entirely unknown system, but if it's locked down that makes sense they'd include some canon places so they could visit said canon places. If leaving the system is so hard, that is.
>>82192935
True enough, I'd like to see the Atravis Sector/Mustafar System next honestly. I recall Mustafar being next to a huge planet that I don't think is ever named.
>>82192448

It's funny how in Rebels the burning shithole that is Geonosis has a moon introduced that is a freezing shithole, and despite being a moon has a standard breathable atmosphere and normal gravity.
Star Wars is weird.

>>82193169
That it is. I'm done with the Outer Rim planets for this compendium of shit so it's easier to go through.
Now onto the way too many Unknown Locations tomorrow, I need a break from that.
>>82193169
>Star Wars is weird.
Took you that long to notice, huh?
>>82193497
Doesn't sound like anon just noticed.
>>82193200
Coincidence they latched onto, like the bearded Rebel Commando who happens to look like Rex, or did they pick out this stance to duplicate in Rebels?
Seems very likely it's coincidental given Filoni said he and Pablo have debated which one was Inky.
>>82193589
I think it was intentional in a very loose way. They wanted to have the Grand Inquisitor be a former Jedi Temple Guard, and gave him a loose stance, but didn't really commit to the idea and was just sort of "there".
>>82193609
That kind of stance is very stiff and formal in terms of body language, the kind of stance that makes sense in one of the Temple Guard given it's a position of honor and distinction, as well as one filled by Jedi with a very strong sense of duty. So it's possible the same body language was used for Inky given he has a very calm, unassuming nature that belies the menace and sheer threat of his character.
>>82193669
Possible, either way I like the fact that the Grand Inquisitor was a survivor of Order 66 somehow and managed to become the Grand Inquisitor, very interesting.
It was like I was hoping SS would have turned out to be Bariss and we could get some Ahsoka her and Ahsoka/Vader going on. Like how I'm hoping we get Mandalore/Satine/Sabine stuff for S3, and yes I know Satine is dead, but something has to come out of that more.

But really though, Kanan is the new Katarn as far as the current canon is concerned, he's also the new Kota. Ezra is the new Starkiller, and the Inquisitors are the new Dark Jedi.

It's a shot of Coruscant celebratingwhich Aftermath explains devolved quickly into city-wide riotingalong with the rest of the Galaxy, in a scene about people.... Celebrating.
The ending to RotJ (ESPECIALLY the music) was one of the best changes made to the Original Trilogy.
Sure the Anakin ghost is a little controversial...

It's been pretty clear since 2001 that Zahn was really the only EU writer who could be trusted to turn stories out at anything approaching consistent quality. Just look at the hand of Thrawn duology. Taking place after the disasters that were the Dark Empire and whichever one it was that had Kyp Durron hijack a space snow cone and blow up a sun, Zahn used it as a chance to point out all the stupid shit that had happened since he wrote the Thrawn trilogy.
Luke and by extension the Jedi being turned from mystical space monks to Dragon Ball Z characters that irresponsibly used their powers everywhere they went.
Thrawn's skill as a commander being inflated to the point of becoming a mary sue outside of the only series where he actually appeared alive.
The character development of multiple other characters either being put on hold or actively reversed.
I'm not especially broken up about losing the like 85% of star wars books that were pure schlock, but Zahn usually had a good understanding of how to write a good Star Wars story, aside from his liberal use of clones which he eventually admitted was a mistake. Hopefully Lucasfilm will ask him to come back once Wendig is done vomiting out the last two garbage books in the aftermath trilogy.
>>82198248
>How do you mean? His "fate" is unfolding as we speak, because it seems like he is going to be a recurring villain on Rebels.

>>82191599
>Aren't they planning on a complete overhaul in terms of design next season? He shouldn't look like a dork anymore and hopefully won't act like one in light of his recent blunders.
Nope. The design style will still be McQuarrie-esqe. They're just changing the characters' clothes and such (aging Ezra a little) to show progression of time. Ezra will still be space Aladdin.
>I imagine he'll be more responsible and entertaining next season.
That's hard to say when it's been implied he's heavily leaning to the dark side. That, plus teenager, doesn't exactly make for a responsible individual. Dark side's a helluva drug.
>>82199684
Anon, I think reading a comic is to hard for you, because Maul still got his robo legs from the Mandos (got them during TCS) in it.
They're on the cover of the 4th issue, even. In the comic itself, Talzin highlights them as what happens when you follow Sidious.
>>82199684
>In TCW he has spider like legs then has kind if chicken legs

He got people-shaped prosthetics in season 5 of TCW. Death Watch replaced his 'chicken legs'.
So I know it's kinda jumbled with the canon-legends thing now and the prequels coming into existence after the OT, but was there given an explanation what happened to CIS/Banking Clan after Sheev got control? Alright, CIS was absorbed into the Empire, but the Banking Clan basically had their spindly thumbs on the galactic economy and money stream, but I can't see that going over well with the Sheevster, but he isn't that interested in that sort of thing either.
Was that never addressed, the jobs given to humans or were Muuns allowed to run numbers while weapons wrere pointed at their heads?
>>82200672
They probably got nationalized and managers were replaced with humans
>>82200672
I think it was somewhat implied that sometime at the later part of the war, the Banking Clan, along with all the other corporations that had ties to the CIS eventually went completely to the CIS. Probably when Dooku told them they had a hyperspace lane directly to Corsucant and their attack on the capital was a 10/10 victory. They bought all in on the CIS winning the war, except they didn't. Republic won, Empire took over and the Banking Clan along with the Techno Union and Trade Federation and whoever else had their assets seized and dissolved. This, if my memory serves, is what fueled the Empire's massive military budget. Millions of Stormtrooper recruits/conscripts, shit-loads of Star Destroyers, a few(two?) super Star Destroyers and one Death Star with another on the way.
>>82194790
After seeing what they did to the shipments no clue why I'm still bothering with this game. Mk 3 Czerka Stun Cuffs purchasable for the low low price of 1400 crystals? You don't even get that much if you buy 10 bucks worth of crystals. Fuck that, EA.
Someone wants to set up a /swr/ guild I'll join it but not sure how long I'll remain an active member at this rate.
>>82201002
Can't seem that going over well unless you find every human math savant for the open jobs, Muun are naturally apt at maths and strictly select on ability.
>>82201092
> Empire took over and the Banking Clan along with the Techno Union and Trade Federation and whoever else had their assets seized and dissolved. This, if my memory serves, is what fueled the Empire's massive military budget.
This makes a good amount of sense and I'm content with that, I can't even begin to imagine how the galactic economy faired once the Empire was over and they tried to jump back into the game. And how much the First Order tried to salvage in assets and new loans to make their really big Deat Star.
Also, Hill's facial strcuture looks really really uncanny from that angle.

>>82201640
Fun fact, TCWs episode where they had to rescue Even Piell and Tarkin had each of the two men with one half of a secret Nexus Route that could get the CIS to Coruscant. Tarkin's half he would only divulge to the Chancellor.
The implication is that this data was eventually passed from Sidious to Grievous (or, sure, Dooku who then told Grievous) to stage the battle over Coruscant.

Well, it's possible new corporations or competing ones eventually took their place. Filoni has said that not all corporations at the time sided with the CIS and that plenty were well still operational during the Empire's reign. It's actually a significant part of A New Dawn's story having to do with mining companies and all.

>I stay usually clear of tie-in media since it's usually very bad/cringey
Most of it these days has been pretty good. As it stands right now, most will tell you Aftermath and Dark Disciple are bad (though I personally enjoyed both). I haven't read Tarkin or Lost Stars yet, but I've heard nothing but good things. Don't know about Heir to The Jedi. Lords of The Sith was by far the best Star Wars book I've read on the new canon, and many agree that it's one of the best out there.
I've not read much of the comics though apart from Son of Dathomir and Darth Vader. Both I enjoy(ed). Darth Vader in particular.

I would expect a spy team to work together as a team and them not to throw in a rookie. Even criminals work together as a cohesive team to get shit done.
>>82202877
> Rogue One could've been an Ocean's Eleven with the Rebellion hiring a mercenary squad that picks up and looses some along the way
Goddamn
>>82202877
Because they're just suicide squad, that's what they are. She was thrown in just because of her ability to be a problem for the Empire. Forging documents, resisting arrest, etc. That is the only reason, she doesn't have to work with the team, just try and get the job done, that's the point.
>>82202939
So what will tank? DC's Suicide Squad bringing scene sacharine goth shit back or SW's Rogue One, the super serious Suicide Squad?
>>82202998
Rogue One will absolutely destroy Suicide Squad that it wont even be funny.
>>82202998
>So what will tank?

>>82203052
If Rogue One tanks, we're never getting Obi-Wan Anthology, don't hope for it to tank.
Why would you want it to tank anyways?
>it's now been 2 full years since Legends was created

>>82203098
Some people are afraid of an over-saturation of Star Wars films that will irreparably harm the franchise. But that's just my guess.
>>82203098
If Rogue One tanks, we're never getting Obi-Wan Anthology
But that's a good thing though. The Anthology movies are a terrible idea. It's bad enough we're getting a Star Wars movie every year until it stops making money.
>>82202939
>She was thrown in just because of her ability to be a problem for the Empire
Like all rebels?
>she doesn't have to work with the team
They already have to deal with a totalitarian government that can make their lives and the lives around them a miserable and hellhole filled place. The odds are already stacked against them, do we really need them to worry about a rookie that might flake out too? The Rebellion has enough problems, do the writers need to make more problems they have to deal with?
I'm not a fan of the protagonist doing the whole "I'm an independent person that doesn't need no help from others, even when I was tasked to work with a team to begin with", male or female. That shit has been done ad nausieum.
I'm more interested in a close-knit team that works together as a unit.

Define tanking because it's still likely going to sell tons especially to Mandofags when it has Boba in it. If you mean tanking because of general reception, then the prequels tanked too, which I don't personally believe that they tanked, at least not the common assumption of the meaning.
I highly doubt either are going to do poorly at the box office by any means.
