In all honesty, there probably won't be a huge reveal to match it. The person making the trailer just wanted it to seem cool, so they gave it an ominous tone to up the hype levels. Also guys, I finally managed to finish the CGs x JatH thing I was talking about a couple days ago. Coloring Amethyst was a total bitch, all the blue pens I have weren't inherently the right color, so I had to cheat a bit by putting some white colored pencil down, inking over that, and then carefully wiping off some of the excess ink, and even then it didn't come out quite right. Stevonnie's clothes are off-color as well, but that's as close as I could get with what I have.

I really need to get a better computer and a drawing tablet.

You know the magical gems that all of the aliens in this series have embedded in their bodies? Those are their entire bodies. Everything else is just a magical hologram that they project so that they can interact with the world. Since Steven is half-alien, he needs a gem to exist (but since he's half-human, he also has a flesh body). You can't just make new magical alien bodies, so Rose had to pass hers to him when she gave birth, which effectively killed her.

The idea of doing that is crazy, so it had never been done before. One of the series' main themes is that nobody knows how Steven works because he's literally got his mother embedded in his body. He may or may not partially be her reincarnation because he's powered by her, but she's also kinda alive inside it still but kinda not.

That shakey ass logic doesn't even stand up on it's own right, as we don't know what Pink Diamond looked like. She could very well have had a forehead gem too by that logic.

Pearl's OLD SPACESUIT has a Pink Diamond, her hair is listed in the databook as "Pink", and her gem is shadowed with light pink just as many times as it's shadowed with gray under most light.
If she was any kind of important Pearl, she'd be Pink Diamonds. But there's no reason for that either. She could have just been a Pearl under some gem in Pink's court that Rose saved after seeing her abused or some shit.

The Sea Shrine's buried within the ocean's depths, inaccessible to the Gems, and the alternate timelines created when Steven hopped around and dragged himself with him every time all ceased to exist when he destroyed the master hourglass. Going by Malachite's dialogue concerning fusion and her hostility to the gems, I'm guessing that Jasper is in primary control of Malachite, like how Lapis was in control by keeping her underwater.
