Mon-El is a Daxamite (Kryptonian off-shoot race) who crash lands on Earth on a Monday and gets mistaken for a Kryptonian until the lead poisoning gets to him. He is the most obvious guess unless they want to go full cosmic and do fucking Starfire or anyone really.

Not quite. After his first appearance Mon El was afflicted by lead poisoning (Lead is super lethal to Daxamites, once exposed they are terminal) Kal put him in the Phantom Zone where all metabolic function would cease and keep Mon El alive until a cure for Daxamite Lead Poisoning could be found.

It eventually is in the distant future when he is brought out of the Phantom Zone by the Legion of Superheroes.

The Legion are a group of young people from across the stars. Each Alien Species (and in some cases human subspecies) has different super powers. They come together to show that beings from across the cosmos can work together toward common good inspired by the efforts of Earth's greatest hero, the strange visitor from another world Superman.

In fact they went back in time and brought young Clark to the future to hang out and join the Legion and stuff pending continuity.

While the show has teased Legion stuff, I'm not sure Mon El will be our first forray into them showing up. So lets look at other options.

Another Kara: Obviously setting up a Power Girl of Galatea plot. In comics, back in 85 DC had the Crisis on Infinite Earths, in which most of the multiverse was destroyed by an Antimatter Cloud and a creature called the Anti Monitor. The last few worlds all collapsed into one with a merged continuity, including the Supergirl of the Golden Age continuity. Donning the identity of Power Girl because her reality and for many years her identity were Erased, she function with a fluctuating backstory and variable sets of powers until the Events of the Infinite Crisis in which the Golden Age Superman returned and was reuinited with his lost cousin before his death at the hands of another world's young superman who had gone mad for reasons.

Galatea is a clone of Kara made in the DC Animated Universe continuity, who shares aspects of comic Power Girls designs but is a very different character who was raised to be a weapon against aliens and metahumans; and is possessed of a psychic connection to Kara which gives her something she does not want, a conscience. She is more Likely to show up in Cadmus.

Super Boy: A clone of Superman, his nu52 continuity is kind of crazy, but his best interpretation was being a Clone of Superman who escaped the clone lab after the Death of Superman at the hands of Doomsday and kicking off the Reign of the Supermen plot of the 90s. Much like how Jurrassic Park had to fill the gaps in dinosaur DNA with frog, for some reason Superman's genetic structure couldn't be artificially recreated (at the time there was a metaplot involving Kryptonian DNA being specifically manipulated to PREVENT artificial cloning, and only functioned through proper cell division or the production of gametes) so the filled the gaps with Human DNA. This meant he didn't have all of Superman's powers, but he did possess meta abilities of tactile telekenisis. Eventually it was found he could use his minor psionic powers to mimic the rest of Superman's power suite, but he is vulnerable to energy weapons. There was a big plot revealing his Human DNA donor was Lex Luthor. He is more likely to be seen in Cadmus. However...
