Wich party would Cap represent if he ran for President?
>>81893008
Before 2000: republican
After 2000: Democrat
>>81893050
>Before 2000: republican
Yeah nah.
>>81893008
The Marvelous Party.
>>81893008
If he ran there'd be no other party, so just the American party.
>>81893070
yeah you're right my bad, before 1992 I should've said
MCU and Brubaker Cap is pretty Libertarian. He vote for people with those values or not vote at all.
>>81893160
>Cap
>conservative
>ever
He'd be something close to a socialist, so probably Democrat.
>>81893272
Cap would be a Bernie bro confirmed
>>81893272
This dialogue is pretty hamfisted, but I applaud Marvel for publishing stuff like that. Too bad we'll never get something as bold in the movies.
>>81893328
>Bernie cuck
fixed
>>81893160
You missed a lot of Cap comics in that decade if you think that.
>>81893272
IIRC the writer got shit for that from the fans.
Some things never change.
He was a New Deal Democrat, so he'd run as Republican now.
>>81893160
Only time Cap hasn't been a democrat was during the McCarthy scares. And that was retconned to be somebody else.
Personally though, I think he'd run as an Independent.
Would Cap make America great again?
Democrat. Cap's been a naive liberal type for decades. People here only say Republican because muh merica hamburger symbolism.
If Iron Man ran for President, he'd run Republican, and anyone who disagrees can go fuck himself.
>>81894834
No he'd take one look at congress and the senate and fucking kill himself
>>81894711
The reason why he's characterized as a "new Deal Democrat" is because he is a Democrat now, but since he came from the New Deal era, we anochronize his beliefs. Cap is and has always been a Democrat.
>>81893008
Cap would be a constitutionalist or a libertarian. Possibly a populist/nationalist like Trump. Most of these ideas center closer to the republican party than the democratic party, so he would probably be republican.
>>81894711
>New Deal Democrat
>believe in big government, regulation of wall street, and economic stimulus spending
>Modern Republican
>Believe in extremely limited government, removing existing regulations, and tax cuts instead of any government spending
Sure, that makes sense. You're aware FDR is generally reviled by the GOP base, right? They call him a dirty socialist. Cap fucking idolized that guy.
>>81893116
This. Cap is a uniter not a divider.
>>81893008
Socialist
>>81893008
New Deal Democrats
This is no other answer
The man voted for FDR
Eisenhower style-republican IMO.
>>81894711
But the Republicans are arguably more to the right than ever.
>>81894834
>Make America great again
Pic related
>>81896691
Only because the center has moved to the radical left.
>>81893008
>Which party
Running on a party's ticket requires party loyalty, and Cap is loyal to only one thing. He would be a non-party candidate.
Which in turn means Cap could never become President because there are enough states that make it impossible for non-party candidates to even exist on the ballot. You can thank antiquated state's rights viewpoints and the consolidated powers of the two established parties for that one.
Couple that with the incredible ignorance that the average American has towards politics and a general indifference in exercising their right to vote, and you'd have Cap earning maybe Perrot's share at best.

Bull Moose Party
Probably form his own party
