It felt like there was meant to be another round of conversations to finalize all the characters and give us some closure on them, but Hussie was too burnt out to do them and the 4/13 deadline hit. Considering he let paperseverywhere draw whatever she wanted for the reunion scenes, I think he just shoved it out the door.

So what I get is that Lord English was likely knocked into the black hole which was expanding rapidly into the broken area and which would go with the whole billiards motif, but Hussie was being too meta with the Homestuck juju for it to be shown on-screen which was probably a bad idea in retrospect. And the "Happy End" is more like a happy middle because they have to go fight Cal at some point and get sucked in the juju and we're left with our imagination for what happens to them after that.

Eh. It's an ending.

The biggest crime was that it totally removed Evil Jade and Evil Jane, who were the best versions of those hopeless characters.
