I think few would disagree with the opinion that EEnE is one of the best cartoons ever produced.

However, a lot of its brilliance came from the restrictions CN placed on Antonucci. If you look at his earlier works it's clear that a series where he had complete control would not be that great, just kind of violent and bizarre.

Also, he's got some balls to shit-talk the American animation industry, considering he comes from fucking Canada of all places.

I like how he incorporates elements of old media - which kinda made the aesthetics of EE&E more distinct from its contemporaries. Like how the theme song was based on an old jazz song, for example.
