Is this the worst thing that Batman's ever done?
>>
>>81832857

>ywn be trapped in a never-ending time loop with your shrieking harpy of a wife by Batman

why live
>>
Even when Batman Beyond cameos in another show, the villains get Bat Ends.
>>
>>81832857
>Won't kill the Joker
>Will trap a man in the midst of a nervous breakdown for all eternity
The wife is also trapped. Far as I can remember, the only thing she was guilty of was nagging him.
>>
Same episode where Terry was literally torn apart by Harley wannabes.
>>
>>81832857
Neither of them are aware if it, so no.

What even happened here?

Neither of them remember the reset, so does the timeline just stop at that point and keep skipping forever.
>>
The man became a universal tyrant who nearly unraveled all of existence. I think Batman was kind of justified.
>>
I felt sorry for the wife. She was a bitch, but she didn't deserve that.
>>
>>81835566
>The wife is also trapped
No she is not, only Chronos is traped in the time loop, since he is always going back to the same moment, while the wife life continues after that.
>>
I always hated this episode. I hate how they pass off this end as a average or justifiable punishment. Batman will put a guy in an infinite time loop forever, who really just was a man who wanted power and didn't know what he was doing, while he will go out of his way to protect a psychotic killer who knows what he is doing at every crime.

Also, this makes no sense. So shouldn't the guy doing the time loop effect everyone else in that entire universe also? Why would it just effect his wife and him? shouldn't that ENTIRE UNIVERSE be going in a time loop for the rest of time? What were the writers fucking thinking? Does batman realize some things are a thousand times worse than death?
>>

Is the Joker still alive? Is Zsasz?
>>
>>81839201

At least Johnny DIED. Clinton is stuck in that time loop forever. As long as time exists, he'll be there, repeating the worst moment of his life.
>>
>>81839099
>Batman will put a guy in an infinite time loop forever, who really just was a man who wanted power and didn't know what he was doing, while he will go out of his way to protect a psychotic killer who knows what he is doing at every crime.

You're mixing your Batmen there anon. As much as TAS Batman risks his neck to save villains he doesn't "go out of his way" to do so.
>>
>>81839544

...putting your life at risk /isn't/ "going out of his way?"
>>
>>81839683
Considering that putting his life at risk is the norm in his "line of work", no, not really.

I mean, "getting shot at fighting thugs" is no less dangerous when compared to "getting shot at saving a badguy"
>>
>Killing is wrong
>Trapping someone in a hellish nightmare for eternity is OK

And the best part is they fucking do it ALL THE TIME.

o-ok Wally, I didn't have anything to say anyway
>>
>>81835566

Nothing happens to the wife.

Imagine that A is going in a straight line and temporarily intersects with B, which is going in a loop.

The wife is A, progressing towards the moment where she intersects with Clinton, B, who is infinitely looping. Her timeline continues going forward from there. He's just going back to that moment while, for all she knows, he never comes back from time-traveling.
>>
>>81839998

How the fuck does Wally live with himself? That's fucking monstrous.
>>
>>81839998
>a fucking attosecond
>>
>>81839998
Speedsters are terrifying.
>>
Guy's not even aware he's stuck in a loop. To him, every time is the first time that moment plays out.
>>
>>81839998
>This is fine
>Shooting the Joker is unthinkable

Seriously what the fuck is wrong with DC?
>>
>>81840555
Hell's worse.
>>
>>81840555
All it would take is one story where an outsider shows up and kills the Joker. But nooooooo, he's the money maker
>>
>>81840555

>Because he'll come back

>Because Gotham will create something worse

Pick Both
>>
So wait, is this loop perceivable to others? Because I imagine this house being sold, or falling apart, and you see this bickering couple till the end of time

>>
So, say they aren't able to pay their rent or electricity, would that break the loop if their power goes out? Or people entering their house?
>>
>>81840850
The only one that loops is him. Everyone else goes on.
>>
>>81840896

>From Seal to Seal's teeth.
>>
>>81840935
Nah anon. He resets back to the point of his wife nagging at him, but everything else still goes on.
>>
>>81840936
Ok so its like a weird moment out of time no one can see. Got it. It would have been funny if you had different speedsters pop up asking who fucked up
>>
>>81840555
It's unthinkable because idiots suck Joker's dick about him being the best written villain ever and buy up everything related to him. It's unthinkable because Joker prints money for DC's fanbase seems to be primarily morons.
>>
>>81841027
Well, it's not so much something out of time as much as he's yoyoing back to that exact point in time.
>>
>>81841110
Yeah but say I walk into the house, do I see this shit loop?
>>
>>81841180
Nah. You walk into the house and all you'll see is a lady nagging at a dude then the dude disappears in a flash of light. Then life goes on. The lady probably stands there for a minute or two dumbfounded at her husband disappearing and you do what ever it is you do.
>>
>>81841180
>>81840058
>>
>>81836651
And how many time did Joker gain cosmic powers where HE became an universal tyrant? Was it three or four? I lose count. Yet Batman STILL would never dare sticking his buttbuddy in a time loop.
>>
>>81841304

How about having a powerful psychic heal him?
>>
>>81841304
>And how many time did Joker gain cosmic powers where HE became an universal tyrant?

Because Batman is the bitch in the relationship. You're so quick to point out times where Joker gained cosmic powers, but you keep not remembering what happened to Batman when said events happened. Here's a refresher : Batman was so utterly and completely destroyed by Joker that Superman had to ask the Spectre to scrub Bruce's brain clean of the pain he went through just so that Bruce could continue being Batman.
>>
>>81839201
>tricking johnny quick
Admittedly a dick move, but all of reality was on the line and a sacrifice had to be made. Better the villain die a redeeming death than the hero an unnecessary one.
>>
>>81840555
Unlike Marvel, DC actually uses their villains, so they need reasons for them to stick around.

>I fucking enjoyed to see Inertia traped in front of Bart's statue

That's...a fairly troubling thing to admit.

>>
>>81840555
Wally doesn’t have a no kill rule, I think Batman is the only hero who has that rule
>>
>>81836595
>does the timeline just stop at that point and keep skipping forever.

If it keeps skipping forever wouldn't it be a 12:01 scenario where time never progresses past this moment? Or is this like a Gold Experience Requiem scenario where he exists outside of time as we know it.
>>
>>81842235

Then Wally should've killed Inertia than that human rights violation that he committed.

Yes, they can. This is just after he was Ion but he was capable of creating lifelike human constructs at this point even without the power. The green stuff is more used for reader benefit than anything. All of the lanterns pictured here are constructs.

>green fucking everywhere
>batman
>>
>>81843862
well he did spend most of his formative superhero years on a team with Batman
>>
>>81839099

He didn't even really want power until he got pushed into it. His original goal was just to collect and preserve historical artifacts.

Then Batman decided to chase his ass through time and space over a spare utility belt and the whole goddamn thing sort of spiraled out of control from there.
>>
>>81843568

>>
>>81844513

I wonder if Bruce remembers every time someone that he loves called him an asshole.

I wonder if that's even possible.
>>
>>81842332
According to the writers:
Every time he hits the button he has replaced himself in that moment where he will time jump.
Time moves on he is just constantly replacing/killing himself in that moment for all eternity. The wife lived past that moment, everyone has.
>>
>>81839099
>So shouldn't the guy doing the time loop effect everyone else in that entire universe also

From his perspective, everytime he activates the belt, he repeats the last minute or however long.

From the rest of the world's perspective, the moment he activated the belt, he disappeared from the universe.

There is a plothole in that he doesn't REALIZE he's looping and keeps repeating the same dialogue.

I dunno, but in Emperor Joker Batman's big plan was "kill joker".

It was Superman that had to come up with a way to trick him, buy he us used to handling reality warpers.

But even after, Batman was about killing for everything he went through but Superman had the Spectre erase Batman's memory of what happened.

So, no, you're wrong.

Not exactly, IIRC he just fucked with his connection to time so that he could move fast without actually having super speed.
>>
>>81841831
This, inertia was a grade A psychopath engineered to be an evil monster.
>>
>>81855398

How does that justify turning him into a living statue?
>>
>>81855398
Then you should kill him. Freezing him as a statue leaves the more likely possibility that one of the many speed related enemies of Flash unfreeze him. It's less likely he'll be revived than unfreezed
>>
Lord Death Man Batman knew he would keep coming back from the dead so he shot him into space. So basically he comes back from the dead suffocates in a vacuum then comes back and suffocates again and just does this on repeat

>Joker popping a boner at Bats going full Frank

glorious
>>
>>81842235
Superman, but he's able to break it in certain circumstances because its a moral code whereas with Batman its more of a psychological trauma reaction.

Hal, John, Kyle, and (theoretically) Guy have a literal code of only using lethal force if required to and have to answer for it thanks to Sinestro fucking up the system.
>>
>>81857728

>Batman its more of a psychological trauma reaction.

I like how everyone ignores this when they ask why Batman doesn't kill the Joker. They forget the fact that Batman is technically psychotic, and that his whole persona is a PTSD response. If he kills the Joker, or anyone, really, nothing would stop him from being a true terror of the night. First he'd kill the Joker, and then he'd be able to rationalize his way into killing all the other villains on down to the fucking Condiment King. And then he'd turn to the general populace until Gotham is a virtual police state.
>>
>>81857804
Pretty much this.

Every laughs at the silly "muh slippery slope" argument, but it is literally part of Batman's character that he is incredibly vulnerable to succumbing to it. He is fucking crazy.
>>
>>81856947
That's a shame, I kinda wish Lord Death Man would become a recurring villain.
