This was legit from an episode from like 11-12 years ago, if that puts in perspective how long things people still bitch about today have been going on in Simpsons.

I remember this when it aired. Lisa was desperately praying to "Buddha - Jesus - Spongebob?" in the third act.

Later during the credits they reran the scene but with this part.

The praying thing was exclusively for the credits. This was never meant to be taken seriously and was probably just a pitched joke that wasn't good enough to make it so they used it to kill time at the end
