Did either Belle or the Beast undergo any character development? Frankly they seemed like the same people in the end, just with a crown & without fur.

ehhhhhh... she kind of accepted him immediately as what he was on the inside. which was a selfish jerk. if anything she learned to put up with a guy because he can still change, but still stay firm with him and not let him walk all over you while he's working through his issues.
