Was the Clone Saga the last time a comic admitted a past run

could somebody explain to me the clone saga an it's hate?

A saga that dragged on for way too long that tried to make Peter some clone and Ben reilly the actual Spider-man, it confused everyone and was essentially pointless

Is Cone Saga what ended good ASM comics? Amazing Spider-Man was one of the most consistently good comics from the 60s through the 80s.

Also it brought Norman Osborn back from the dead as a surprise twist and retconed that he never died and has in fact been behind the scenes all along

I always thought the way the 90s cartoon had spidey narrate and monologue and talk to the audience was kind of comfy and endearing. You think they might make the mcu spidey films that way? Would give it a distinct style from the raimi and amazing films.
