How the hell did they get this to sell 100k?

100k? Jesus, even for Millar that was pretty bad.

Through retailer incentives.

Doesn't actually sell all that much.

Chrononauts #1 sold 43K last March. So this is certainly a jump, but I'd say having a higher profile artist (Immonen is better known by casuals than SGM), plus having it published under a Marvel imprint instead of Image probably helped.
I definitely think you have a point in saying retailer incentive, but Millar DOES sell.

Didn't it already get optioned for a movie?
Speculators want to have a first print #1 to sell later when the movie comes out

>Didn't it already get optioned for a movie?
Pretty much everything he he's put out post: Kick-Ass and Kingsmen has, anon. Doesn't mean that they'll all end up getting produced, though.

Mark could shit on paper and it'd get a movie deal. I have no idea how the fuck he keeps doing it.
>>81667085
Superior movie when?
>>81670170
Yeah but you don't start casting people if you don't actually plan on producing it do you?

> people v confusing sold to distributed
They ordered 100k copies, doesn't mean all of them went off the shelf

Isn't he BFFs with screenwriter Jane Goodman(Jonathan Ross' wife), and director Matthew Vaugh? Also, being the official comic consultant at Fox helps.

No shit
Companies sell to shops not customers

Sucking literal dick helps too.
