I love how nonchalant the regular citizens are. "Huh, the giant woman grabbed the truck full of bad guys".
I wish she'd get more screentime.
Why is it when there's a hero or villain who uses growth powers they always have glass jaws? I mean the power to make yourself huge should be one of the most OP powers but most writers treat it like its the worst power to have. I mean, most size changer's strength increase x how big they are correct? Then shouldn't that factor into their invulnerability too?
>>81575286
At that point, there'd be little options as to how to stop them, besides mental attacks and such.
>>81575286
Because they are fighting beings that can destroy tanks, blow up planets or move continents. Being big ain't shit when you fight people like thta.

>Girl who feels worthless and insignificanr discovers a secret race of tiny people (a la The Borrowers) and finds purpose as their protector.
>Giant girl (or monstergirl) in a fantasy setting rejects her species predatory attitude towards humans, but humans don't believe her

Giganta
Magic always beats science. Magic must defeat magic.
>>81575286
>Why is it when there's a hero or villain is just a regular sized person they always die to bullets? I mean being completely normal sized should be one of the most average body types but most writers treat it like its the worst body to have. I mean, most average size haver's strength is completely normal correct? Then shouldn't that factor into their invulnerability too?
A hero that can punch a tank in half taking a pop shot at your jaw is a little bit like being shot in the face, man. Most normal heroes are a little less than that in terms of strength, but even then. Being giant and super punched in the jaw is like being normal sized and being normal punched in the god damn jaw. And let's not even look at how the force of the punch over such a small size would be EXTRA TERRIBLE. Imagine getting a full force punch but it's with a fist roughly the size of a needle.
Also, most writers chose for the molecular structure of super sized beings to be REALLY fucked at that size. Bone density gets all terrible, oxygen intake, muscular use, internal temperature control. These are all issues a writer can and will usually address in a size changers abilities.
>>81580492
Normal size heroes take a whole lot more punishment and still go on fighting. My point is, all giant based heroes/villains are one and done. They stomp and smash around a bit, but then all it takes is one shot and they're unconscious while other heroes/teammates take just as bad a hit and bounce back. Its just frustrating.
>>81579681
new 52 is cancer
>>81575286
Actually, a gigantification power HAS TO have invulnerability. But being bigger would use up invulnerability, or dampen it.
You spend most of your power resisting gravity.
>"You can drop a mouse down a thousand-yard mine shaft; and, on arriving at the bottom, it gets a slight shock and walks away, provided that the ground is fairly soft. A rat is killed, a man is broken, a horse splashes. "
Simply taking a step is hard if you are bipedal and taller than 30 feet.
>>81580605
>Simply taking a step is hard if you are bipedal and taller than 30 feet.
Try 15.
There's a reason humans never reach 10 feet, and those who get close have all kind of health troubles.
>>81580641
Eh, most of those health problems are related to organ failure rather than limbs, but yeah.
Maybe regular walking is possible at 15, definitely not running.
>>81580641
>>81580669
>implying being a literal giant is the same thing as being a really tall regular human
Having a body stronger than a normal human's is always implied, so I don't get why someone always has to bring this up. To look smart?
>>81580726
Yeah, but you get to the point pretty fast where that gets ridiculous.
Assuming their bones and muscles are the strongest stuff around (and their skin, or else it would split if given too much pressure) you would have to have completely invulnerable behemoths running around.
Like, to be as tall as a building and still be able to jump? Every part of your body would have to be made of adamantium or something.
>>81580803
they emit a stable gravity field that holds them in place and prevents them from sinking into the ground while standing and provides support. it's an extension of their power, like how Superman has an energy field that extends around people he catches in midair to prevent them from snapping or being shredded
there, now we never have to talk about the Square/Cube Law ever again (aka the No Fun Allowed law)
>>81580803
You obviously have not read a comicbook or watched a cartoon if these are issues for you when it comes to giants. Generally, they're just treated like giant normal people who are super strong and heavy. They can run, jump and move around fairly normally. Take Giganta as the prime example as she can be upwards of 60-80 feet tall and can move as if she was still normal size. Adding the whole square cube law deal is just a bad idea cause then you'd have to cherrypick every super power in the same way and that just makes it not fun anymore.
>>81580803
They're tough, but comic books are all about extremes and absolutes (nothing can stop the juggernaut, the hulk is as strong as he needs to be etc) so really it's not a huge deal.
Generally for most giants (100ft) I'd assume a standard tank shell would be about equal to a high-calibre bullet for a normal human.

>>81580669

This is seriously the most autistic thing you couldf do. Never fucking do it. If inaccurate physics triggers you, you shouldn't be reading comics. You should be a physicist.
>>81580966
That would mean that their punches and attacks would be like a stiff breeze, and they would bounce off buildings.
This whole thing is a response to someone asking why giants were always shown as vulnerable, so we were just deconstructing it.
It's obvious real giants wouldn't work, just as it's obvious that in order to appeal to the whole "David and Goliath" or "Jack and the Beanstalk" mythos, small characters can topple big ones.
>>81580803
I bet you get mad whenever Superman lifts a building and it doesn't fall apart.

>Implying people on /co/ actually read comics
Anyway anon, we're on a board of a website originally designed to discuss niche Japanese manga/anime. And are now on a board for discussing cartoons and comics, talking about giant women (and giving off a pretty strong fetish undertone).
Hard to get even more autistic than that, so just roll with it.
>>81581100
>Hard to get even more autistic than that
Well. We've done it.
Wouldn't giants also stink, though? Like, huge bodies means larger glands and more oils and residues. Assuming their bodies are identical to humans, which they could never be, but let's assume, and we're talking 1:1 scale for everything, equally. They would sweat entire small bodies of water doing pretty much nothing at all. And human beings are really smelly up close, so at that size you'ld be able to smell everything from MILES away wouldn't you?
I'm not even talking the logistics of eating, or body structure, or like breathing. Just smell would be HORRIBLE wouldn't it? Like, you'ld never want to get close to a female giant because you'ld pass out from the odor alone, right?
>>81581189
>Wouldn't giants also stink, though?

>>81595654
Why can't she just be a big bully and bully some other characters in a playful kind of way, like her antics on her days off from the uni?
You know, I'm surprised Gail Simone hasn't pushed to do anything with Giganta in the Nu52, considering she's the only writer who actually gives a shit about her.
I thought she'd at least make her part of her new Secret Six.
>>81595618
She's a Wonder Rogue, which sadly means most writers barely remember she even exists.
It's often said by people who don't read the comics that Diana's villains are lame. The reality is that for whatever reason, almost nobody actually uses them.
This is actually one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Rucka round 2, because he made good use of the rogues in his first run, and even created a new one who was solid and memorable.
>>81595696
That's kind of evil. It counts.
>>81595618
I get the feeling people just don't want to draw her. Drawing her means drawing more detailed backgrounds compared to her giant size.

Yeah, there's pretty much just Circe, Cheetah, and Giganta. Ares too sometimes. To be honest it always feels like cheating when you have Wondy fight mythological charters. It'd be like somebody's arch nemesis being Dracula or something.
Cheetah alone deserves to be in the top tier of DC villains just for her dedication to hate.
>>81596032
I know very little of Gigainta other than what I've seen on /co/ sadly, mostly cause I've never really read comics involving her
Don't mind brainstorming ideas thoughAnd I might use them for something else I'm working on latter
You got any suggestions to add?
There's the obvious body swap episode and various size related shenanigans such as her toying with a much smaller student
Tossing in a few of Wondy's other enemies might work every now and then, a Circe episode could end up fun as well as Wondy herself occasionally getting roped into the "experiments"

>she's connected to Greek myth, thus EVERYTHING about her MUST be Greek myth related
It's a pretty toxic attitude that disallows for the more interesting dichotomy of her being of two worlds and her role as an ambassador.
I'm pretty sure there hasn't even been a Nu52 Silver Swan, and the last time anyone saw Egg Fu, he was in Harley's book for whatever bullshit reason. Although the two current digital series use the rogues a bit, so that's something.

I actually had an idea about this. Diana happens upon Doris tinkering with this huge machine, and Doris proceeds to pull out a permit from the city allowing her to test her weather machine(nobody makes weather machines anymore for some reason). So Diana, seeing that everything's on the up and up, decides to stick around to watch and see if it works, even offering to help.
>>81596573
That's good to get the ball rolling, now the question is what goes wrong/what happens?
Does it go out of control? Does someone else try to take it? Is it just a backdrop for some hero/former villain bonding?
>>81596669
I was thinking option 3, but strictly speaking, none of those are mutually exclusive.
>Diana and Doris start bonding
>someone steals the machine
>they team up to get it back
>machine malfunctions
>they stop it
>Doris realizes she kind of enjoyed the whole saving the day thing

>>81596221
>I know very little of Gigainta other than what I've seen on /co/ sadly, mostly cause I've never really read comics involving her
Giganta is usually more a mercenary than a straight up bank robbing villain. She can be hired for all kinds of villainous tasks.
While she hates Wonder Woman, her hatred doesn't really extend to the world like most characters. She's not trying to blow up the world like Ares or just kill people for fun like Cheetah (not to say she doesn't enjoy it on occasion), but she's not above smashing things or people who get in her way.
An aspect of her that never gets played up is her genius. She's suppose to be a super scientist, but she's never tried to build a Death Beam to kill Wonder Woman, it's always just fist to fist. She's always just portrayed as a brutish mercenary.
You know what I think would actually make a good miniseries for her? Her encountering the family of the woman whose body she's in.
Giganta was a scienentist who wanted to steal Wonder Woman's body, ended up in the body of a gorilla, and then ended up stealing the body of a circus performer with giant powers. But what if the circus people actually came after her? What if we actually find out more about this woman before Giganta took her body and her family/circus family hire a wizard or something to try to force Giganta's mind out of her?
It's a little off base from all the fetish shit that's been brainstormed, but I think it could be cool. She could use some depth.

>>81598203
>Though I get the feeling it wouldn't really last more than one confrontation
Doesn't need to. It's more like a one shot or mini series for two or three issues sort of thing.
Like, these people get tired of seeing their girl on the news, committing crimes, they snap and decide enough is enough.
These circus folk decide if they can't get Cindy back (I'm assuming her name is Cindy) they'll put her remains to rest, so they try to ambush and kill her.
And I assume that they would all be metahumans or magic to some degree, since they wouldn't just randomly have a magic size changing woman in their company, so she'd have a real fight on her hands.
Or maybe they don't have powers. Maybe they're just regular folk and Giganta is conflicted over what to do with these regular, mundane, non costumed people who want to kill her for taking someone they cared about.
>>81571894
>only a matter of time before she grows

>Desperate to return her mind to a human body, Zeul the gorilla abducts a comatose circus strongwoman named Olga with size-changing abilities[4] through unknown means (though Olga was comatose due to a mysterious shaman) and uses the machine to successfully transfer her mind into that body, keeping the villain name "Giganta".
also
>When Diana Prince noted that Giganta's intellect reduces as she grows in size,[8] compelling the villain to become less rational and more prone to violence, she was corrected by her colleagues in the Department of Metahuman Affairs. They implied that Giganta has overcome that limitation and retains her full intelligence at any size.[9]

Now free of M'Nagalah's control, a seemingly repentant Dr. Zeul retains her position at Ivy University and has approached Ryan for a second chance, despite the bizarre circumstances of their first meeting.

>>81599513
I'm pretty sure her original body is dead. Comicsvine says
>Giganta starts out as Doctor Doris Zuel, who worked at a medical facility where the comatose Wonder Woman was being kept. Dying of a terminal illness, Dr. Zuel plotted to transfer her mind into Wonder Woman 's body. This procedure was stopped halfway by Wonder Girl and both Dr. Zuel and Wonder Woman were declared dead. Neither of them were, however.
>Dr. Zuel's assistant found out that her essence had been stored in the transference machine's buffer module. Wishing to save her, he put her in the body of one of the test animals, a gorilla named Giganta.
>Dr. Zuel was not pleased with this, desiring a human body. She discovered another suitable host: a beautiful red-haired strong woman from a traveling circus named Olga, who was comatose. Absconding with Olga's prone form, Zuel did another transfer, successfully putting her mind in Olga's body and, presumably, Olga's mind into the gorilla. (That being said, the fate of Olga and the gorilla have never been revealed.)
So her body was dying anyway, then she was declared dead when she fucked up.
So Zuel's consciousness was removed, and put into a gorilla. The gorrilla's consciousness presumably was destroyed, since it would either be stored in the machine's buffer or just deleted. Then she kidnapped Olga and overwrote her brain. So Olga is either trapped in a Gorilla's body and has been for years (unless the Gorilla was killed), or her brain was also destroyed.

And about half their face along with it.
Gonna be honest with you /co/ your biggest waifus are shit, and this is coming from the biggest sizefag there is.
>>81569764
Platinum is a severely underrated waifu.
You thought Starfire's love for Robin was cute? Tina/Platinum has that in spades for Magnus, and can turn into almost anything! She would do anything to please you, and being with you makes her happy!
I love Platinum.
>>81571963
>whatever, racist
Typical nigs, always falling back on thinking everything is about race.
>Wouldn't want to hit a female, that's wrong!
>But I will totally accuse a woman of being racist because of a vague statement about my character!
Fucking hell.
>>81597232
Damn, I actually kinda wanted to see Giganta go on a cute, happy date.
>>81611623
It's fine if you have better art
>>81624587
Is fine
>>81624587
What the hell is she wearing and how is it attached to her? Wouldn't it just slip off?
>>81611623
great, but the fandom has too many ameturs, both from nippon and a-meme-ica.
thread needs more of her
>>81625181
It's called a skirt
>>81625916
How the fuck is that a skirt, a tube of fabric around the waist isn't a skirt
>>81626447
He waist is smaller than her hips and the top of the skirt is more narrow than the bottom, it's actually pretty easy to keep on assuming you're not spherical
>>81626447
That's exactly what a skirt is actually.
>>81625181
>>81626447
Is this really happening?
>>81626474
>>81626480
>>81626552
You guys are totally delusional, I like giant qt's without shitty /fa/ overdesigned bullshit like whatever the hell she's wearing
>>81626605
You should leave.
>>81627578
God damn that's hot
>>81628006
Ah, a voreman. Finally, someone withtaste.
>>81627578
>Like giantesses
>Like vore
>Like Karbo's art
>Never liked that pic
Don't know why
I think it's more due to the characters involved
For some reason I don't see Harley doing that
>>81628078
Is this from that shitty Doom Patrol run? Because that's some shit.
I mean giant cannibal girls are fine as a fetish but that's not a thing that Elastigirl would do.
>>81575118
welcome to new york
>>81574926
spiderman
>>81628462
>Is this from that shitty Doom Patrol run?
No, because it's from a good Doom Patrol run.
>I mean giant cannibal girls are fine as a fetish but that's not a thing that Elastigirl would do.
You must not read comic books very much if the concept of an evil twin from another universe is foreign to you. You fucking idiot.
>>81574926
Robyn Hood.
A giant mechanical girl built by the big banks for the purpose of infiltrating and spying on the Occupy Movement. They programmed her too well, so she genuinely began to believe in the cause, thus rebelling against her handlers.
>>81628668
Really? Because edgy evil twins from alternate universes that like, totally kill people man is some straight up "Superman turns evil" tier wankery.
>this thread is still here
Hm. I kinda want to somehow show this thread to DC editorial and see how they respond.
I think Didio would just sit there, jaw agape with shock.
>"Wonder Woman has villains?!"
>>81627578
>>81628006
>>81628078>You will never have a giantess supervillain waifu who loves mouthplay and vorish teasing
>She will never dangle your naked form above her open mouth, letting her hot, humid breath caress your skin
>She will never drop you, letting you fall down into the eagerly awaiting abyss below
>You will never find yourself in her hot, humid mouth as her tongue probes and tastes every inch of you causing her to moan in delight from your flavor
>She will never spend what seems like hours, rolling you about in her mouth, sucking on your tiny form as her tongue caresses and strokes your body, the dexterous muscle hitting every all the right places to send you into a daze of pleasure
>She will never give out a thoughtful hum, before she begins to tilt her head back as you tell yourself she always does this before letting you out and she doesn't intent to swallow you this time, right?
>>81628801
Evil [hero] from another universe is pretty common
>>81628801
So you didn't actually read the book.
/co/ posters NOT reading comics. What else is new?
What the fuck makes you think a team book of any kind that has fucking Ambush Bug on it is going to be 'edgy'? The very next page, evil Nazi Negative Man shows up.
>>81628768
>A giant mechanical girl built by the big banks for the purpose of infiltrating and spying on the Occupy Movement.
A giant robot would not be my first choice for infiltration and spying. Were they out of aircraft carriers and jumbo jetliners?
>>81629114
A book including a character for meme points isn't a sign of it being good. There have been way too many shit Doom Patrol runs after Morrison for anybody to get another chance.
>The very next page, Evil Nazi Negative Man shows up
Well hey I'm convinced. Making random characters into Nazis isn't edgy at all.
>>81629196
>A giant robot would not be my first choice for infiltration and spying.
Really? That'd be my first choice. But that's probably because giant girls make me horny.
>>81628768
This is so dumb that I'm completely in love with it.
>>81629241
>>81628801
This is some really pathetic trolling.
>>81629074
>showing this thread to DC editorial
In your dreams, perhaps
>>81629304
>trolling
OK kid
>>81629241
>if I throw around buzzwords, surely no one will know I don't read comics
>>81601543
>>81602037
I'd like this series more if the writing wasn't such a letdown. The author can't commit to ANYTHING
The evil guy wasn't really evil, he was misunderstood, there's a bigger evil out there, also misunderstood! And that character that died? They didn't really die!
It's just way too safe and there's no stakes in it whatsoever.
>>81629630
But Diane is a qt
>>81629695
Nigga if I wanted a QT there's a fucking billion other, more interesting manga/comics to read.
>>81629261
This is just more proof of how much of a little bitch Peter is. So, an adorable giant robot girl is doting on him like he's a cuddly puppy, and this has him worried and slightly freaking out.
Dude. Seriously.
>>81629695
>so big she takes up 4 panels' height
I love this
>>81629734
How else are gonna draw a giant?
>>81629724
>>81629720
But they don't have Diane.
>>81630187
Does she have her memory back yet? If not, fuck that.
Do You Like Big Girls anime adaption WHEN?
>>81630221
No, it's moving a little slow right now. But Escanor is about fuck shit up.
>>81629724
To be fair, he was bitten by a spider, so maybe he has the spider's fear of large beings.
>>81630239
>Wanting those 10/10 designs to get fucked to death by budget quality.
Nigga, you are monkey pawing it so fucking hard.
>>81615457
>Character is always human sized in the comic
>Almost no one's actually read said comic so they just assume she's huge for fan-art purposes
>My prime waifu plays into my prime fetish without ever having to do so in her own continuityA shame she's not canon, though
Shrinking > Growth > Nano > Space sized
I said it.

>I said it.
You're wrong.

oh god please yes

Reluctant giants are always better. The contrast is 2/3 of the appeal.
>>81632634

I bet you prefer gentle, too. Fucking geek.

Go be lonely elsewhere, Mr. Mommy Issues

It's good shit. I can't believe you can get this stuff at your LCS

I'm not part of this argument but
>implying the guy with mommy issues is weirder than the guy who whacks off to people dying.

Dang, I use to have so much more of these AC Comics giant women stories. Good stories too, but they got lost one or two computers ago and I can't find them online anymore.
>>81633250
>he says while posting an image that is probably a dude being eaten by his own mother
>>81633586
Just saying, m8. If you actually talk to your mother, maybe you'll have a better relationship and you won't need to jack off to giant women anymore.
I heart Tanya Spears
>>81633250
I still think she looks like an alien in that last panel
>>81633675
>he says while posting porn of giant women murdering people
>>81633688
What do you do in that situation
Like you basically lost if she grabs you
Just give up man, she's angry
>>81633688
>Beast Boy seems very intrigued by what's happening there.
>Giganta
>Elastigirl

Are there any other giant women in mainstream cape comics that I'm missing?

OP here,
Thanks for the brilliant thread /co/, I didn't think you guys cared about biggest waifu and other big waifus as much as I did.
I'm glad someone else is carrying on this love to another thread as well.
