Have any good novels come out since TFA? I got bored of Lost Stars and haven't really been paying attention since. The only new canon novels I really seemed to enjoy were A New Dawn and Lords of the Sith. Last I checked there weren't many novels even scheduled.

Maybe I need to start reading the old Legends canon if I want my Star Wars novel fix. New canon seems more focused on the comics.

No books have come out since TFA, unless you count the physical copy of Tales from the Galaxy or w/e, even though it was released digitally last year. So far only four books are announced for this year: Bloodlines in May, Life Debt in July, Rogue One book and Ahsoka book somewhere around September and October.

Disney is playing a dangerous game.

Having spinoff movie in between the main line films, set in varying time periods. Having a star Wars movie every year for 5 years straight. They risk oversaturating the market.

The Force Awakens drove them to their best fiscal quarter ever. 3 Billion in profit built on movie profits, Disney World star wars events, merchandise, licensing deal etc. They could get away with a similar push every two years for Episodes 8 and 9 but every single year? By episode 9 people might genuinely sick of Star Wars,potentially hurting it's long term profitiability.

Can I just talk about how much I love this shot?

I don't know what it is but something about the way its composed and the way he looks gives me this huge old-eu vibe that I am really glad to see is making it into the new canon. In the form of a movie no-less.

Maybe its because he looks so much like Thrawn.

On that note, its also awesome to see a Grand Admiral that ISN'T Thrawn. I just love how powerful he looks without having to resort to an already existing character.

This one shot is enough to make me buy a ticket, let alone the rest of the trailer

It's so exciting to see the Empire in modern HD technology. I cannot wait.

The problem (for me) when writing about less humanoid aliens in sexual situations, is that I don't know much about their physiology other than "humanoid" or "slug". Genitals aren't something we've got details on, and while I can write what I imagine they look like, that's somewhat harder to find an audience for.

But rodians love to suck. Just look at those snouts, they're probably so warm and moist. I bet they're pretty elastic too.
