Most of what I read of DC is just limited series (eg all Star superman, kingdom come, DKR etc). I recently was looking into picking up some DC series but im really confused by the multiverse thing. Does the main justice league comic take place in the main batman universe? or is each book in its own universe? how do so many batman stories run simultaniously? and why is jim gordon batman in some books but not in the justice league??

im not even too casual i read a lot of comics, but im trying to grasp this

Its bad. It could've been good. But it was just so slow for what it actually is. All these "twists" and "turns" and it really comes back to it just being a fight book. And grail is kidna a hack character who is taking up way too much importance to have such a silly and contrived back story and motives.

It would've been better for it to just be a big fight book, it doesn't require a big plot.

JL has to be the bigger than life book, not "look in this issue Lex outsmarts bruce and makes superman mad".He put Cyborg on the team and he did nothing with him for 4 years, he reinvented Shazam and did nothing with him, pretty much everything he introduced was wasted.
