Dead Space Downfall, or Aftermath? Downfall still an enjoyable gory animated movie. But stay away from Aftermath (that ugly early 90s like CG).

Dante's Inferno is a bit much better. There are various animation styles throughout the chapters. Like that The Dark Knight animation movie in 2008.

I fucking loved Spawn, I couldn't get over how awesome it was to be watching an adult hand-drawn series.
It's actually the first cape cartoon I've seen so now I'm afraid I'll be let down if I ever get around to watching other shows

And OP, you should check out European animation. They frequently make movies geared for adults, and they still make them in glorious 2D.
