My ideal for the Authority is that they all become attached as supporting characters to regular DC names. I'd put Jenny with Shazam (she'd have a reverse Shazam thing where she shifts from adult Sparks into juvenile, but more powerful Quantum).

The others are more arguable. Swift could suit Flash or GL. Engineer could suit GL. Doctor, I think, fits best with WW. Jack can go anywhere and because he isn't specifically Earth-linked you might want to go somewhere weird like MM.

We all know there's gonna be some minority characters in Supergirl anyway for the sake of diversity, so I think it's better if they actually try to develop existing ones rather than writing in new ones that probably won't get a real chance for any developement before the next time the book changes its writer.
And Apollo fits in a Super-book better than anywhere else, but seeing that the Superman books will already feature two Clarks, it'd be better if Andrew made guest appearances in Supergirl.

Sorry, but no. There is simply no plausible way Batman's rogues could be a problem for Midnighter. Midnighter can teleport anywhere in the world and is invincible, and he's totally fine with letting your evil plan happen if he gets to murder you. If a Knightfall type event happened with Middy filling in for Bruce, the result would be that after one busy evening Batman is all out of rogues and Arkham has to downsize a couple hundred guards and nurses.

That's why Midnighter cannot become a Bat character, not even an "extended family" one. His presence invalidates all other Bat characters. He could instantly solve all their problems (hell, just look at the ending of BRE, where that exact thing happens). Remember how people were complaining, in the years before before Flashpoint, that Cassandra Cain makes other bats look bad? Middy is a ten times stronger version of Cass, and has none of her weaknesses!

Who would be his friend if he were in the marvel universe? Punisher? Deadpool? Taskmaster? Nick Fury (the original)
