Brevoort has been calling it the "Prime Earth." This designation has ONLY been used in books edited by Brevoort, while other books (like Spider-gwen and Web Warriors which aren't edited by Brevoort) have still been calling it 616. Brevoort keeps throwing those books under the bus for not falling in line with his "I hate the 616 designation, it has to go!"

Prime Earth didnt even come from the New 52, it came from the Infinte Crisis Moba because there wasnt any snappy one word name for the mainstream dcu like "Nightmare" or "Mecha" or "Arcane" it was adopted later on by DC.


The whole reason why things like elements and species have official designations is because common names are variable.

People call Earth-12, the DCAU, the Timmverse, the Dinniverse and even Beyondverse.
