Haven't had either in literal years, but if I recall correctly Yoohoo is better. Nesquik tastes like water with a little chocolate powder, whereas Yoohoo has the consistency of paint.

Maker of the comic Let's Speak English. She's kinda' dorky weeaboo-looking in reality, but /co/ loves her because she responded to criticism on 4chan about her in-comic persona not looking a lot like her, and ended up changing the way she drew her nose a little bit.

Oh, also her comics are absolutely adorable and well made, for the most part.

Everyone here is shitting on it, but I can't restrain myself around that shit. If I get ahold of any I practically chug it, all 300 calories per can of it, until there is none left. It tastes like diabetes and sex. It's a flavor so good you feel guilty for having it without having earned it.

It might just be a legacy of my white trash upbringing, but it's literally too dangerous for me to keep in my house. I would be 400 pounds if I had ready access to yoohoo.
>>
>>81470176
…Anon it's a chocolate drink powder. You add the milk, and then you get chocolate milk. If you add water instead, you get chocolate water but why the fuck would you do that to yourself
>>
>>81470007
It tastes kind of like if you swallowed a spoonful of cocoa powder, and then someone stuffed their dick in your mouth and pissed down your throat.

Would not recommend.

While you are correct that they have different characters in their syllabary for things like mo or no, ん can be anglicised as either n or m correctly.
>>

Well fuck me.
>>
>>81490917
To be fair if i saw myself on the middle of the night like that i would be freaked out too
>>
>>81492672
Are referring to different pronunciations for things like を or は.I have never heard of it occurring in that context. Nor have I seen ん be anglicized as mo or no, but maybe that was just an awkward wording of your sentence.
>>
>>81492796
It's not even a different pronunciation. The lone ん isn't really quite an n or an m, so both are correct. Same way the ろ is justifiably either ro or lo.
>>
>>81492857
I thought the sound was modified depending on its placement in the word. Sempai would be the correct Anglicization because the n turns into an m when followed by a p sound. I haven't been studying the language for very long, so forgive me if I come off as accusatory or confrontational; I just want to make sure I'm understanding things correctly.
>>
>>81491426
>>
>>81492977
It is, but it's not like there are hard rules around it, since it mostly just ends up being part of what makes up your accent. Sempai is closer, often, to what people say, but senpai is how people would normally write it for the sake of consistency, since English cares more about consistent spelling than pronunciation. If you're not using hiragana, katakana, or kanji to write it, there's no real reason to worry about it.

That you're aware of.

Gotta have confidence, Friend, remember what the ancient Hawaiians used to say, "Anyone can build a hut, but only one with a strong roof will stand against the wind."

That or go to Thailand, you can get just about anything in Thailand.

Seriously, I have a serrated knife within reach of my computer, all I have to do is lean over, grab it, and slice. I'm just too lazy, as it'd take more energy to do that than type here.

You know, if a kid tries to pull that shit, they deserve to have their fingers broken by your buttcheeks. Yeah, good luck explaining that to the school nurse.

>Yeah, good luck explaining that to the school nurse.
More like good luck explaining that to the PTA and judge.

Self-defense protections are at a minimum outside of the US, and castle law doesn't exist basically. Even if a guy shot at you and killed a few people and if you didn't bash his head in with the pickaxe he would've killed you next, you'd be facing several months of criminal defense trials because the prosecution will argue you didn't exhaust all other non-lethal and non-violent means of conflict resolution.

In Japan, it's worse when it's a teacher injuring a kid. That's like three extra layers of socially unacceptable violence.

What kind of crazy country is this?
>>
>>81507942
It's not like you intentionally broke it. If someone punches you when you're not expecting it and breaks their wrist in the punch, that's not quite on the same level of grabbing their arm and then hitting it with a rock to be sure they're down.

The rest of the world.
Canada, Britbongistan, Australia, Asia (at least the ones with laws and courts), etc.

>>81508470
If we go by your punching analogy, it'd be like you reflexively whacking their arm away with your hand and you hurting their arm. That gets YOU into trouble if you're a teacher and the puncher is a kid. Spur-of-the-moment isn't a good defense because you're expected to just never let that injury onto the student happen in the first place. Because you were in the sort of mindset that let you think injuring a kid while defending yourself from a minor assault (that you could totally take as an adult), you are the one that's at fault. Sure maybe you'd win the court case but you pretty much nuked your career and social life long before it was over.

You can see the reluctance in the two panels discussing the possibility of breaking fingers. The teacher makes it sound like defensively injuring the kid for violating your asshole is a bad thing. The other teachers in the next panel didn't think of the possibility and murmur in reluctance of this idea of defending yourself.

Let's be honest here, if an American kid lunged at an American teacher's ass (with prior documentation of past successful attacks) and she smacked his ass in a mid-air interception, the teacher would've been reprimanded, fired, and sued, in that order along with the school and school district and lose. And just like Japan, nobody's going to talk about how fucking ridiculous it is to let kids think that it's even remotely okay.
>>
>>81509729
Nobody was talking about striking them preemptively in defense. The analogy is standing there, getting hit, and they hurt themselves hitting you.
>>
>>81508194
I don't know about other countries but in Canada, self-defense comes with an extra "to a reasonable extent" clause.

So to a normal person, they'd see "Oh a crazy gunman is killing people" and think "Lethal force to stop the killing is pretty reasonable". They thought wrong.

There are a lot of news stories here where if attackers and aggressors are killed by civilians, the heroic guy who just saved everyone usually gets cuffed on the spot and hauled to jail. The Crown's argument is usually that lethal force was completely unnecessary and that the guy (and others) could've done something else to stop the attack. Which is bullshit.

But then you'd think "Oh then I can just beat them up like Batman or something" and you'd still be wrong. There is a very large chance that if you just beat up a guy in a similar life or death situation, you'd be charged with assault. And again, the Crown would argue that you knocking the dual-wielded AK-47s out of the wannabe terrorist's hands and then breaking an arm before pinning him down with two others was excessive and unreasonable.

As much as I am scared of America and its rootin' tootin' gun totin' craziness (among other things), I'm jealous of the fact that self-defense is a pretty solid and respectable defense there. You can just tell the cops that it was self-defense, they'd see that it's true, and they'd just leave you alone on the spot. Of course this opens up a different set of problems but at least there's almost no chance of you getting cuffed in front of your kids after you shot or beat up a crazed gunman who was most likely going to shoot them if he was left alone.
>>
>>81509861
I'd argue clenching your buttcheeks is the same as blocking a punch with your arm.
>>
>>81509935
Except with basically no incriminating evidence. "The kid missed, hit my tailbone. He should have practiced more."
>>
>>81510079
If they hit the tailbone, you'd probably be in worse pain than the kid. But you're fine and standing. Any adult coming by will look at the scene and ask you what you did to the poor kid.

So then you have two options:
(a) Fake the pain to avoid trouble but lose all self-respect for yourself because of a kid's attraction to your asshole
OR
(b) Get in trouble for defending yourself.

Desperate people used to put in metal plates in their pants to block kanchos but eventually they got into too much trouble for hurting the kancho attackers so they're not allowed to do that anymore.
>>
>>81509729
I don't know about other countries, but in canada you definitely have the right to use lethal force in self defence. There are terms like "reasonable force" used, but the onus is on the opposition to demonstrate that a force was unreasonable.
Canadian law is really heavily based on precedent, and almost every time a clearcut self defence case has gone to trial they've confirmed this.
The cases I've seen be complicated generally come down to something like "did you continue to kick him in the head for 3 minutes after he had stopped moving?" or "did you shoot him in the back as he ran down the street?"

>>81509915
Do you have any examples? I haven't heard of a single controvery about a civilian stopping a mass shooting, although I don't pay much attention to current events.
In fact, the closest thing I can think of is Kevin Vickers, who was called a hero and is now the canadian ambassador to ireland.
>>
>>81490995
I like it too. It isn't always in that "Actually audibly laughing" kind of way like Whomp can be, but it's cute and amusing.
>>
So the stories where Azrael was able to dodge them, grab their hands, put them in headlocks and threaten to counter-kancho them while the full-time Japanese teachers at the school only remarked that they were all having such playful fun were exaggerated?

I am severely disappoint.
>>
>>81504266
You can rest easy.

She didn't.

If you had agreed, she'd have just taken pictures, mocked you. Maybed had her brother rape you. And then you'd've been the laughing stock of your school.
>>
>>81509729
Britain and Sweden don't even allow non-leathal self defense like pepper spray.

Woman pepper sprayed a migrant trying to rape her, she was arrested and fined, because self defense is illegal.
>>
>>81509915
Not really, in America you're still going with the cops if you shoot and kill in self defense.

Infact, the whole reason we have stand your ground and castle doctrine laws is because DAs would try to do the same shit in self-defense and home invasion cases.
"Why didn't you retreat?"
"I was upstairs and he was coming at me with a knife."
"Why didn't you climb out the window and jump off the roof?"

Hell, even in America, we've had successful cases of a robber breaking in, cutting himself on the window he broke, and suing.
>>
>>81510435
No, but there's other sprays that have pretty much the same effect that are legal.

You can still get traditional pepper spray though if you have a weapon license.
