The weasel brothers in ice age were pretty alright. They were kind of cowardly but they were ultimately nice kids.

It's because weasels steal eggs

Any animal that steals it's food source, or scavenges, is usually portrayed negatively for comedic effect

Weasels aren't rodents, they're mustelids.

Rats are better than mice in every way but we don't see many positive examples of them either while mice are common.

Even wolverines are part of the weasel family, which can kill large deer like elk, moose and even other predators like lynx. Will also chase off bears and wolves.

In Disney's The Wind in the Willows, MacBadger and the weasel mob are portrayed in positive and negative lights respectively.

The weasels in Mouse Guard were kind of honorable. They were definitely viking, and they were ver predatory, but they weren't bad guys.
