Were weasels ever portrayed in a good way in cartoons? Every single time I've seen a weasel, they are depicted as criminals, sly, scammers, mean, and dishonest.

Even in Zootopia, a movie about breaking animal stereotypes, the weasel is still a crook. It seems like people have gotten so used to the depiction of weasels in "The Wind and the Willows" and it just stayed.

It's a shame. Mustelids are the best but you barely see anything with them and it's usually a negative portrayal.
>>
It's a metaphor for niggers

Or it's a pun on the other sense of the word, which I'm sure has origin in fable or folklore or whatever relating to actual weasels

Yes, in I am Weasel.

I Am Weasel, where a Weasel is pretty much one of the greatest living things alive. I recall him being a successful doctor that had (human) babes all over his dick.
>>
The weasel brothers in ice age were pretty alright. They were kind of cowardly but they were ultimately nice kids.
>>
I mean the Weasels in Zootopia have at least some honor?

The brothers? I'm pretty sure they were opossums.
There was a weasel outback dude in the dinosaur one, though. I forgot his name. He was pretty nice and not a sleazy liar.

It's because weasels steal eggs

Any animal that steals it's food source, or scavenges, is usually portrayed negatively for comedic effect

Weasels are vicious, top tier predators. Possibly better than felines when it comes to hunting.

Weasels aren't rodents, they're mustelids.

Rats are better than mice in every way but we don't see many positive examples of them either while mice are common.

Weasels aren't rodents. Neither are rabbits, in case you were wondering.
Even wolverines are part of the weasel family, which can kill large deer like elk, moose and even other predators like lynx. Will also chase off bears and wolves.

>>81374577
Mustelids are nature's cute little badasses.

In Disney's The Wind in the Willows, MacBadger and the weasel mob are portrayed in positive and negative lights respectively.

The weasels in Mouse Guard were kind of honorable. They were definitely viking, and they were ver predatory, but they weren't bad guys.
