Summer can't handle that shit bruh.
She was freaking when Rick's ship was protecting her and that kinda shit happens to Rick and Morty all the time. Bitch can't hang.
Not to mention in Get Schwifty she was quick to think that the heads were some all knowing gods and not some alien mutha fuckas sent down to earth to fuck shit up. Now how is some scaredy ass religious bitch gonna hang with the baddest mother fucker in the galaxy?

Just a reminder that Summer ends up getting stuck in the past with amnesia and becomes Beth's mom.

Morty wasn't scarred by something so arbitrary as human mutilation and psychological breaking. Sure he was scared and even sick at some of the stuff that Rick would do, but he always came out on top and helped Rick gain a bit more humanity each time.
He's a little bitch no doubt, but I'm sure if Summer were to go with Rick all the time her fragile little mind would snap.

Summer doesn't protect Rick's brain patterns with her stupidity. If it was about being the most competent companion, Ricks from dimensions where Beth was childless would have Beths for companions. But they don't. They have Mortys for a reason.

Also, if Summer was worthwhile, statistics says at least ONE Rick would have a Summer as primary companion instead.
