I have my own theories about Classpect, but I don't pretend they're more than just me filling in gaps how I'd fill them were I Hussie.

Sometime last thread someone mentioned Jade only did what Hussie's writing wanted her to do and it got me thinking.

It's too weird to think all these characters are just constructs of Hussie's imagination. Everything Jade or Karkat, or Vriska or whoever has ever done is just what Hussie feels like making them do.

Here we talk almost as if there is some 'true Jade' (or anyone) that's untainted by Hussie's writing, but that's just kind of dumb if you think about it.

Although maybe that is how Hussie feels, given that Davepeta exposition. The 'greater Jade' sounds like it's a meta concept of the audience's idea of Jade, although whether this just means other things we've seen her do in canon (pre retcon, for example) or actually being the 'true Jade' I mentioned earlier, I don't know.

It's more a comment on writing consistency than anything else. If the audience (however inclusive or exclusive you employ that term) feels that the story establish facts and rules set At about character t, and then later on events violate that set, it begins to feel like the author isn't being true to . . . well, his past self, or the work of his past self. It feels like the author didn't plan well or anticipate his own future state in writing. Which for a comic like Homestuck is an even bigger deal than usual.

I've tried to find common themes in Lands relating to Class and Aspect with the A2 trolls and B1 kids. B2 kids have their own unique void session nobles theme going on, and Hussie got lazy and seems to have just given the A1 trolls the same Lands and the A2s.

Best fit explanation from my end is that
- Mages are active to Seer's passive, and
- While Seers are pragmatic-to-cynical about their aspect and tend to exploit it for goals, Mages are consummate about it (ie Sollux is super moody and dour, Meulin lives to ship).
