Whether HxH is actually the real replacement or not, doesn't really matter. I've only been following DBZKai and Parasyte. Now it just seems like I'll only be tuning in for DBZKai or probably just not tune in at all anymore.

Our only really chance to start enjoying Toonami at this point is to tell all of our friends and increase Toonami's ratings so we can hopefully get some slots back.

It was exciting, and fun until you realized Demarco was picking the most watched shows from past Toonami and [as], like Naruto and Inuyasha for example. Demarco picking up cancelled cartoons from CN because the block needed them. Oh, and locking down slots with long runners because it's better in the long run ratings wise and money. Seriously who wanted to see OG Naruto return? Wait, It's UNCUT Naruto, sorry. That totally justifies running Naruto on the block, again, good thing he picked up Shippuden later to replace it :^). Toonami was a lot more fun to watch when they had zero budget, so we got shows like E7, S7, DMW, Casshern, GXP etc. I know a lot of people despise GXP, but the reactions to it were hilarious and actually fun. What do we have now to compare? Nothing really. Who hasn't seen DBZ already, Dimension W is pretty shit desu, Champloo is another show everyone has seen, and no one cares about the long running slots plus rerun.

I understand them dropping One Piece, but them dropping Naruto would be too much of a loss to the block. Long runners provide stability and expected viewers that come in week to week.

I think that Naruto in the long-term is a good idea because it is already a popular show in the states and is a large franchise with a video game backing it. These are things that One Piece does not have.

A part of me wishes Toonami could snag something obscure, like back in the day, a few of the shows Toonami got were stuff that didn't do too well in Japan but they were able to get for cheap, like Outlaw Star, which became a classic for many Western anime lovers. If you like an anime that is cheap and has the ability to be shown he'll shoot you down quicker than anything.
