Probably not, she would've killed all the gems if not for Jasper. It's pretty clear they've been walking her ruthlessness/effectiveness back since her first appearances though.

I really hate this fanboy rallying behind/against character "redemption" which they take to mean "joins the protagonists." Peri hasn't changed one bit. On a serious note, she has shown a true desire to learn and change her behaviour, rather than outright rejecting anything possibly different. Her open-mindedness by itself deserves her a redemption.
