Speaking to whether we might see any already-introduced characters from the X-Men movies in the New Mutants film, Kinberg remarked, “Traditionally, the New Mutants have some characters that cross over from the mainline X-Men movies. As we are going, I would say it's likely that you will see some familiar faces.”

Not too familiar with any young russian actress who comes to mind. Honestly if i was gonna cast anyone. Id cast Elle Fanning. She was great in super-8 and that was years ago.

As for wolfsbane. easy...Saoirse Sonan. She's Irish and a damn good actress. Possibly probably too good and big enough not to wanna be in an ensemble movie like this.

Anyone else worried about how most of the New Mutants' superpowers sucked major Goldballs?
I mean, yeah, they boot up "rocketman" as Sam blasts off and Rahne's werewolf would be awsome but Magik's holes in space and Mirage's magic arrows kinda suck all on their own.
What? Are they going to moviecanon the soulsword as a mutant power?
And WTF are they going to do about Warlocke?
And I don't think they can even do Sunspot because he was in the future X-Men in DOFP.

Fuck yeah! Though, Warlock might be too expensive to do right. The constant shapeshifting even when "idle" would just be too much. They'd have to give him a default shape played by one actor to keep costs down. That is kind of a bummer.

Id honestly rather not. Firstly its because introducing a techno organic alien that looks like a sci-fi prog rock cover from the 70s. Shit aint gonna work. They aren't going to get it right, theres really no way in 3 dimensions if you ask me.

As much as i love the x-men cosmic stuff i don't think any of it would work in the movies except maybe the phoenix force.

Because there are people in their world demanding that being a mutant should be shameful and unacceptable to everyone, including the mutants themselves who need to be made to acknowledge pure human as inherently superior.
Just openly identifying as a mutant is an affirmation that there's nothing wrong with being that, and the only way that becomes an issue at all is if someone else is needlessly intollerant.
