I prefer Green Lantern: The Animated Series but I know it's flawed in some minor aspects, while I haven't found a single thing about Beavis and Butthead that I don't enjoy.

And rating art with numbers doesn't make any sense because it implies complete objective facts

Also most people don't like to rate things in fraction so something like 9.87/10 rounds up to 10/10

Binding on mine is fucked, too. Is yours the Pantheon( actually may be Johnathan Cape) edition? Also great taste Castle Waiting is fucking great.

I have LOADS of 10/10's, a few off the top of my head are:
Summer of Love by Debbie Drechsler
King of Persia by Walt Holcombe
David Boring by Clowes
Black Paths by David B.
1-800 MICE by Matthew Thurber
The Jim "autohypnagogic/dream" comics of Jim Woodring
Shrimpy & Paul by Marc Bell
The Education of Hopey Glass by Xaime Hernandez
Lady Chatterley's Lover by Hunt Emerson and D.H. Lawrence
The first 25 or so issues of Nexus by Baron & Rude
The Wagner/Grant/Breyfogle Detective Comics stuff
Crumple OR Ripple by Dave Cooper
>>81273460
Have you read the Big Baby , El Borbah or Hardboiled Defective Stories books by Burns? I find Black hole really over-rated but the X'ed Out trilogy is wicked. Finally coming into his own as a writer, I think.

>>
Megahex - Simon Hanselmann
Arsene Schrauwen - Olivier Schrauwen
Powr Mastrs 1-3 - CF

>>81283522
I really liked 1-800 MICE, but I found it really hard to follow. I've seen a youtube of him reading a giant scroll of some story, and it was completely different.
>>
>>81283981
I got Mowgli's Mirror by Schrauwen recently, legitimately one of the most beautiful comics I've ever seen. And it's oversized, just so lovely, all blue and orange duo-tone, such gorgeous cartooning and really fluid figure work. Best thing I've read by him without a doubt.

Never been into CF really. I tolerate him in anthologies and stuff and keep getting told to read Powr Mastrs (dunno if they're even affordable, still!) but I dunno, something about him grates a bit. He's done a coupla short pieces I like though.

It was one of those right place right time for both creator's moments. And it's just so fucking good.
>>
>>81284327
Yeah Mowgli's Mirror is great. I like that he can really knock out a wordless comic, since a lot of what I like about him is the dialogue. He really sets a standard for stuff printed in riso.

CF took me a while to get into, didn't help that I started with Powr Mastrs at volume 2. I honestly think he's top of the line at this point. It doesn't get better than CF for me.

I'm curious what do you like about the shorter things you've read of his?
>>
>>81284725
His colouring! And his ability to develop solid characters in a short amount of time. and I like his really trippy shit, contrast his Kramers 6 story with his comic in Kramers 8, no fucking comparison.

Is Mowgli's Mirror Riso printed? It did look it but I couldn't find a mention (mind you the only credits are that tiny strip on the back that I skimmed so I might've just missed it), usually anything done on a riso makes a big deal about it, kind of! I'd fucking love to try one of those things out myself, though.
Btw are you the Anon that has Greys as well?
>>
>>81270646
Completely forgot about Ware. Someone storytimed a little of his Acme Novelty Library stuff and I forgot about him before I could read more of his stuff.

No, sorry, what's Greys?

I don't have it on hand, but I'm pretty sure it is, three colors I think. Arsene is also riso, and it all forms a pretty large book, and they don't really shout about the riso either.

Riso is still so hot right now. I've printed on one for the first time, recently. It's very cool. My favorite riso shit is done by the Lagon Review guys, Sammy Stein and Alexis Beauclear, and their buddies. There's a lot you can do with that look.

Hmm the tinker bell movies weren't half bad but I'm still reluctant to see this with out an explanation.

Greys is a Schwauren comic about ayy lmaos, b & w but very good.
That book n the pic looks lovely, is it European? That background gradient, man.... Will hafta google those guys.
I think the Thickness anthology was the first riso comic I bought but some of it's really badly out of registration.

>>
>>81285926

Oh that's right, I think I've heard about that. I haven't read anything else buy him, a lot of stuff isn't in English I think.

Yeah, it's French I'm pretty sure. Really amazing stuff, check it out:

Pisses me off tho, impossible to get. They only sell these books on convention circuits.
You can buy tinier zines from the editors tho, some of the prettiest shit I own. I'll have to upload stuff sometime.

Haven't read Thickness, but I love a lot of those guys.
>>
>>81286176
Nice one, thanks for that Anon. Always cool to talk to people with similar tastes on here.
Might storytime Greys sometime, I did Crickets 4 a bit ago, got a good response, Sammy harkham is killing it, in fact would've put the Blood of the Virgin arc on my list but it's not finished so it didn't seem fair.
>>81286082
Some of the "Unclothed Man" (basically his stories from Mome) comics were coloured really interestingly, like he'd do the line art then print it onto acetate/animation cells and paint onto the reverse. Great cartoonist, Bottomless Belly Button is probably the best "family drama" comic I've ever read.
>>
>>81286395
Yeah, Crickets is great! You're doing good work. I just got into it not too long ago, haven't read the first part of that story tho, but it's easy to slide nicely right into part 2. Will have to keep an eye on /co/, just poked my head in because I scanned something for a friend and figured I'd just dump it somewhere.
>>
>>81286877
Hahah thanks man but no, SAMMY is doing good work! Tried to get another copy of Crickets #5 like 4 days after my order arrived; it's OOP already! Got Jordan crane's newest Uptight comic, #5, it's got some amazing new stuff in it (was disappointed he chose to reprint the first three issues of Keeping Two in there; I have the mini's, bought from him, beautiful silkscreened covers, still...felt a bit "cheap", you know? The new stuff DID make up for it though), his drawing style has subtly changed for the better and it all makes a nice package. Glad Fanta still put floppies out now and again!
>>
>>81283522

On that note, I'm not that familiar with Jordan Crane, I'll have to check it out.

Just been reading a shit ton of stuff lately, but not a lot that is new. Got the new issue of riso thing from Lale Westvind, like that a lot. Like Crumb collided with Fletcher Hanks. Been mostly rooting around in old Picturebox stuff.
