My only family member that is into something /co/ related is my 25 years old brother, he really likes watching Gumball and I introduced him to Steven Universe, I basically forced him to start watching it because, like everyone, he tought it was a piece of shit.
Now he asks me everyday if there is new episodes coming.

My mother's a school teacher, a couple years back she'd ask me to pirate episodes of Regular Show and Adventure Time so she could show the kids in her class on Friday afternoons because she knew they wouldn't do any work then.

She's also got little Jake & Finn toys on her desk at work.
>>
>>81261865
Has she been fired yet? Because she's a horrendous teacher
>>
>>81261795
neither did the girls in the Disney film. Don't confuse your depraved fantasies with reality
>>
I tried to show my sister Venture Bros a few times.

Every time she said I was weird and left the room before the episodes ever finished.

But she defends Frozen to hell and back without ever having seen it.

And I'M the weird one.

never understood how people liked Frozen
musics are literally sub par even by Disney standards and story literally has nothing to do with The Snow Queen other than her being an ice wizurd

When the other Snow Queen adaptation was closer to the story as well as having the Disney tier music

Elsa has secret magical powers and ran away from home.

It's like every girl's first fantasy fiction story.

She also has a pretty dress and sings.

Mum: can't stand animation at all, says she can't feel emotions from it because it's "not real"

Dad: I'm not even sure he likes live action movies that much.

Brother: Fine with animated movies, liked HTTYD when I recommended he watched it as an adult though seemed a little embarrassed to say so.

Sister: Watched them as a kid, not much as an adult.

Me: dangerously cheesy.
>>
>>81262149
>story literally has nothing to do with The Snow Queen
None of the Disney movies have much at all to do with the source material. They're all very liberally adapted and butchered to all hell, some less, some more, but none of them stay true to the original stories feelings except maybe Cinderella.

People don't go to see Disney movies to see an adaptation of the classic fairy tale, they go to see Disney tell a Disney story that maybe has some loose basis in some fairytale or a book whatever.

People liked Frozen because of the relationships, dynamics, struggles, aspirations and mistakes of the characters touched them. Also the movie looked beautiful in places that mattered. That emotional dynamite was so potent it made people ignore the shoddy writing with plot-holes, the rushed, clunky animation with the clone crowds, the out of place sub-standard broadway tunes and so on. The core of the story was right and resonated with people despite the massive flaws the film has.

Just goes to show that a polished turd is still a turd, whereas even poor execution doesn't matter so much if the idea, the core, is strong enough
>>
>>81262439
I'm almost the opposite of your mom. I feel almost no empathy for live action characters, but when it comes to animated characters in a good film I feel very much attached.

HTTYD and Zootopia are actually the best example of this I have -- especially the latter. Nick and Judy felt more real and authentic than almost any characters in recent memory.

Elsa and Anna arent sisters. thats why they dont look alike. They are really cousins. Elsa is Rapunzels secret sister or something.
>>
>>81267532

Wut.
>>
>>81259525
My mother is pretty normie and will watch any big animated film that's showing in the cinema. My grandma is slightly similar but prefers gritty movies. My father pretty much doesn't watch movies.

My little siblings are cartoon fans. Current obsession is Zootopia and singing Try Everything. It's funny how the youngest loves mermaids but dislikes Ariel.
>>
>>81267532
Film theory, get out.
>>
>>81268438
Wait, I will ask her again.

>Elsa and rapunzel are sisters because were else did elsa get the hair from and where did she get her powers from and why was rapunzel at the coronataion and they never told you why they went on the boat ride which was to go to Rapunzels wedding. Her parebts sent her away to Eradon and the troll erased her memory so she wont blurt out she has powers so she wont get captured by her sister rapunzel, they sent Raunzels sister far far away after the witch took rapunzel to keep her safe
>>
Holy shit that same sister just asked why Superman doesnt just fly up and kill people with his laser eyes because then they woulndt do the bad thing they were doing

If Batman had super vision and it wasnt kids he would have already killed Joker
>>
>Why arent they teens in teen titans
>That was young justice, i tell her
>>
>>81268655
>>81268438
There's a video on youtube about it. It's funny but shouldn't be taken seriously.
>>
>>81269417
I knew the cousins theory, but Elsa.being rapunzels sister was nee to me
>>
>>81268655
>Elsa getting kidnapped by Rapunzel and brought back to her true home
For some reason I find that...oddly charming? Like Rapunzel's got all these good intentions and wants to reunite Elsa with her real family, so she pulls a reverse-Gothel.
>>
>>81268655

Your sister is going to be a great /co/mrade when she grows up. That's a pretty good amount of thought put into a headcanon for a seven year old.
>>
>>81269601
>>81268655
But that's basically what's in that youtube video. Your sister just saw film theory's vid about it.
>>
>>81259525
Mom: Normie but willing to watch some of my favorite stuff, puts up with me talking about animation and comics. She's a music teacher so for instance she pointed out all the historical music references in Over the Garden Wall.
Dad: More a /tg/ guy overall but a big influence on me. Has most of the Tintin and Asterix books. History teacher
Sister #1: Really likes DC animation, the Flash, etc. but mostly capeshit
Sister #2: Normie-core. Really likes Transformers.
Sister #3: The only other real /co/fag, likes to draw like I do, willing to give weirder series a try. Her tastes are still for the most part entry-level though.
Brother: Could care less about /co/ stuff unless it's WWII related but watches animated stuff with the family.

Generally all of us see animation as something worthwhile and not just for kids. We've all seen stuff like the Shaun the Sheep Movie together and whatnot, and they're generally perceptive as long as it's appropriate.

So it could be worse. Even though they think I get into weird shit and I get annoyed when they're fine with the stuff that gets pumped out
>>
So, uh, if Rapunzel can lose her powers by losing her hair, can Elsa lose her powers by losing her hands and feet?
>>
>>81269645
In which case she is a blatant plagirist with no origibal ideas. Which mean she stil is going to be a great comrade when she grows up
>>
She also draws her own comics, and my little brother wants to draw them too.

I think being the oldest of six rubbed off of them.

Especially my first little sister, she is 18 and is a huge fucking weeb, a sub purist who got them into Sword art online and inuyasha through netflix. She doesnt even like good a, just weird ass obscure music school shit.

But I love the idea of our power levels bleeding down.

My seven year old sister s

doing the same shit I did at 14 brings a sme to my face.
>>
I'm curious to know if her headcanon is as bad as mine.
>>
>>81269739

It helps that we've always been pretty close.

>>81259525
My six year old cousin loves MLP.
My 13 year old cousin loves Gravity Falls.

Dad: Watches all sort of movies w/ family, and only action/comedy/mystery movies by himself. That said, he absolutely loves good comedic animated movies like Megamind.

Mom: watches entry-level animations movies pretyt often and enjoys them genuinely, but doesn't give them much thought.

Sister: Was an otaku during her teens

So she always was more keen on jap stuff, but a few years ago started reading cape comics for some reason. Her favorite is Flash.

Brother: He's a nerd for videogames and computer stuff, not much for comics. Watches all sort of cartoons however, particularly SU, which was a good excuse to start watching that series. We spend more time playing than watching stuff however.

I like my family, they don't meddle with each other's personal lives, but we have a lot of common grounds so it's easy to spend time as friends and we love doing so.
>>
>>81271213
>Trying to corrupt little girls who enjoy MLP by showing them /trash/
Guess we know what you like.

Also you're deluding yourself and are probably a newfag if you aren't aware that there is massive /co/mlp/ poster crossover.

I wish my 12 yo sister was interested in cartoons or any other hobby. She is becoming a skank. Comes home with sperm all over her hair, stains on her clothes.
I am not jealous, just want to help but don't know how. Should I call the police?
>>
>>81272906
it was a joke anon
>>
My father translates cartoons, such as the Power Puff Girls and Kim Possible, and we would watch them together. He introduced me to the Amazing World of Gumball and I got him to watch Clone Wars. My grandfather is an animator and my older sister is a comic book writer. So, pretty /co/
>>

Holy shit, what did your relatives work on?
>>
>>81274949
Icelandic stuff
>>
>>81275048

I'm a big fan of Euro stuff
>>
On the one hand, my cousin is a big /toy/fag and is a big fan of the SW cartoons.

On the other hand, he doesn't even know the basics of computer shit, like adblockers.
>>
>>81275188
My dad translated a bunch of animated shows and films into Icelandic, my grandpa animated The Deacon of Dark River and a bunch of commercials (mostly for chocolate milk) and my sister makes comic strips online and published a book called Næstum Mennsk (which I am credited as the cowriter of)
>>
>>81270055
>Sword art online
sounds like a bad case of shit taste to me, senpai, but im no doctor

i only play one on tv
>>
Dad: generally an asshole and doesn't seem to enjoy any movie/TV show unless it's a WWII documentary.

Mom: doesn't really care much for animation, but she wants me to "pursue my cartoon dreams" and we do watch shows together.

Sis: huge interest in capeshit. is willing to discuss mostly surface level animation, but also watches all sorts of /co/ shit with me.

Bro: will listen to me ramble about drawing and art stuff, but is actually disinterested. more of a /v/ kind of guy. we watch Star Wars cartoons together sometimes.
>>
>>81270369
The central point of the film was their familial love. However it doesn't mean they're romantically involved and definitely doesn't mean they're fucking, since that'd be lesbian sibling incest, which definitely is not a-ok in a Disney Princess franchise.

So once again, stop pretending your degenerate little crackship headcanons are in any way real.
>>
>>81276013

Is Sisters in real life are intimate like those two ? Nope.

Disney just cover "Lesbian" As "Sisterly love" to prevent shitstorm from soccer moms & religious folks anon.
