I’ve never been a huge Batman guy but after @hellyeahteensuperheroes recommendation and award for the Robin: Son of Batman series, I have become a big Damian Wayne fan so Teen Titans and Super Sons not only sound super fun, but also feature a character I really like. I've ever only bought trades cause I live abroad and it's really hard and expensive to get floppies here.
But after DCYou failed due to low sales of floppies and after that presentation you bet your ass I'll buy it. And WW is my number one priority. It's Rucka, Scott and Sharp and it's a fucking must have. I'm not sure I can afford anything other than WW but I'm definitely getting it and I'd like to try getting at least one other title.

Since Marvel is currently a massive tire fire, I feel like I should give DC another chance.

Maybe they won't violently cancel everything I care about instantly and start waging war on their creators this time.

That said, I have little knowledge about DC, but for the most part, this looks like the books I would have expected to find, featuring the characters I would have expected to be in them. There's nothing in there that strikes me as particularly interesting by virtue of premise alone.
To me, it seems like a fresh helping of more of the same.
Then again, that's pretty much a welcome change of pace from Marvel's wild ride of non-stop rapid-fire gimmicks.

I guess I'll just stick to what I know, give Abnett, Giffen, Rucka and King a shot and see how I can branch out from there.

I'll probably go back and catch up on Gotham Academy.
And Detective Comics sounds cool, so I'll give that a shot.
Typing this out, maybe I can just read some decent comics for a while again. That might be nice.

you must remember that they tried giving everybody wildly different status quos and using more obscure characters (pic related) and it backfired and sold poorly and earned a lot of ire so now they are going "back to basics" to try and lure people back in

DCYou was a linewide attempt to go beyond what people expected and give people interesting premises, but sales were poor and DC got burned.

My hope is that DC "tricks" readers into accidentally picking up good stories by having their generic, basic books turn out to be ones with interesting premises.
