I'm so against the notion of containing any comic book characters. It's one of the amazing attributes of the medium that so wide and diverse a cast can be tapped by anybody. Probably just as often bad as good, but still! I mean you're talking Loki, I prefer the "God of Lies" to "God of Stories". I like a villainous Loki - but the more people handle a character, the more takes and interpretations there are to draw upon, the better the toys (hopefully).

The notion of locking minority characters to minority creators is a hard one too. You don't want to pigeonhole a creator either.

For me it's a kind of special case because 1) I'm really, really hopeful to get Rucka back at DC and 2) I think we desperately need a really good Wondie book again to stop folks from saying bogus shit like "Wonder Woman's problem is she has no good stories outside of Azzarello" and the increasingly common "has no good stories outside of Perez and Azzarello", and Rucka is probably the most sure-thing you could put on that book right now.
