I'll probably end up enjoying it. I thought Man of Steel's shit parts were the dialogue and bad scenes (like pa kent tornado). But still enoyed stuff like Smallville, Zod fight, his first flight and some other scenes. Not an extraordinary movie, but still worth a watch.

Most of the top critics negative reviews are that it's packed, has no jokes and has too much cgi fighting. I like Snyder's action scenes and I want to see the other DC heroes so I don't think it will bother me much. I don't care about no jokes as well.

It's weird because the biggest thing I heard coming out of the movie was "it's better than man of steel", it just turns out critics are being bigger cunts now that their opinions weren't taken to heart with Man of Steel, and now they're doubling down on it because DC continued with their darker tone.

Not gonna lie, hearing about these low reviews is derailing my hype, but I still think I'm going to enjoy the fuck out of it. I loved Watchmen and I liked Man of Steel, so I'm pretty sure I'll like the movie, but I'm still a little bit nervous. Going to see it tomorrow at 9:15 EST in IMAX 3D.

It played extremely well on audience expectations on what a villain is. It also worked into the core message of the film.

For all its quippy bullshit and frankly hit-or-miss, IM3 has more to say about its characters and about real life issues than all the faux-baroque bullshit Snyder will ever be able to cram into his puerile films.

I wasn't a fan of IM3 simply because the comedy made me cringe on occasion, but the Mandarin twist was intelligent, and it had more thematic cohesion than anything Snyder's ever put out.

I think after movies like the Nolan Batman trilogy and Watchmen, people started expecting a higher quality of standard from DC movies, which is why Man of Steel was such a disappointment. It's almost funny seeing BvS criticized for not being "fun" enough, because it's almost like what The Dark Knight Returns did to the comics industry back when it came out. I got to see the movie at an early screening, and I thought it was fantastic, but mark my fucking words when I say people are going to talk about it for a long time after it comes out.

Guys, I just watched the movie (it opened today here in Italy) and I seriously don't know what's wrong with critics, it was great!
Some moments where a tad weird (Lex characterization is erratic, and the last shot is frustrating) but it's filled with great foreshadowing on the future of DCEU. A real step above MOS.

I saw it after lunch today. It's more than two hours long and hardly anything happens in it, while at the same time the movie is crammed to the brim with shit. The CGI is frankly atrocious and the battles disappointing.
Affleck and Jeremy Irons were GOAT though, that's about it.

I see where they were going with Lex, but i can't say it ever worked for me.

OH, and there's no post credits scene. What a waste of time that was, sticking around for that.

MoS had some problems but overall I enjoyed it and think it gets shit on unfairly.

The problem with "critic reviews" is not whether they're right or not, but rather how much they can influence opinion of other people.

For example, back when I didn't have an Internet connection, I had no idea that the Star Wars prequels or the Matrix sequels were supposed to be "bad". Or I didn't know that I was a pleb because Rocky is my favorite movie of all time.
