What do you think of the 2011 Greg Rucka run of The Punisher?

It was great. Not terribly fair to compare it the Ennis' MAX run, but still good on its own merits. Cole-Alves was a good one-off character.

I feel like it was second only to Ennis and just above Aaron.

I liked the angle of the Punisher being more a force of nature for the other characters and events to revolve around than a character in his own right. It was like Godzilla but with the Punisher.

He set up a vast amount of threats brilliantly, he gave us more of the Thor+Hyperion bro-mance, gave us a fantastic goodbye between Thor and Sunspot.

That's because the Marvel bigwigs cut his run short so Rucka had to scramble to give it a sort of ending while also being a lead in to another book.

It was okay, but I found it and Edmonson's run very forgettable.

It was great but a bit too slow burn for its own good. Felt like it got cancelled just when it had finally hit its stride.
