Hmmm, Is all the symbiote girls?
anti venom is my husbando

I think they're mostly asexual, but the Venom symbiote is very often described as female.

Dude, Only you like it.
Why are you being autism about that one picture?
Why didn't the Venom symbiote just tell Peter that it was alive? I feel like things would've gone a lot smoother. Everyone just thought it was some dumb animal that attached itself to him.

a good symbiote is seen and not hear
or something
I think its some weird kneejerk reaction, like, say, all the symbiotes she knew would harp on about how slaves (hosts) don't get to talk, that only the one in charge gets to talk, so since Symby wanted Peter to be in charge she assumed that talking to him would be inappropriate

I also consider fan designs when evaluating a look.
'eddie with big tits' makes up way too much of that fanart and I think It's pretty reasonable to withhold praise for a design sitting at the bottom of the creative barrel for over twenty years.

The Kang Masters of Evil vs Immortus' Infinity Watch was part of Remender's long term Uncanny Avengers plan that got dropped after he left Marvel. It was presumably going to figure into the Jan and Alex story involving them trying to get Katie back.
The more I think about it, the more Remender's Uncanny run felt like a proper, classic Avengers story with the perfect blend of classic Claremont X-Men and it makes me sadder every time I think about how we're never gonna see how it ended.
Never forget
Ah, Symbiotes, the perfect wretched little creatures that will help me overthrow my father, perfect. Assemble them up, I wish to inspect my collection

Go suck a dick Blackheart
I don't even think you killed Pat, no matter what Remender says. No body no kill.
>>80945460
Of course he didn't,Toxin broke off a price of itself and let Blackheart's goons take it back to Vegas to get mixed up in BH's symbiote cloning project. See, he's trying to make a powerful, unkillible army to go and fuck Mephestio up, he just needs the right ingredients. Don't worry, Pat is laying low in like Boston or some other shitty place.
I'm just kidding about Boston, I've never been, but I hear the tea is amazing.
>>80945613
That's basically what I want to believe. The symbiote kept a small part of itself still in Pat to keep him alive, just like Carnage did when Sentry ripped him in half. And it also explains why the symbiote was so unstable when Eddie first bonded to it, because it wasn't whole.
>>80944677

>>80945838our symbiote dog, King, finds Pat, tracking him via his unusual scent.Marvel really needs to just fucking hire me so I can make all of this canon, especially the idea that Reed used nanobots to fuck over Eddie and keep Anti Venom held down.
>>80946186
Remender was so close to giving us back Antivenom. Why didn't he?
Okay guys, so, as you all know I'm working on a comic script, it's worked out into 5 diffrent arcs, each from the point of view of a diffrent symbiote character (Mania, Toxin, Venom, Scorn, Anti Venom). Each arc is going to be about 3 to five issues long, and in there is where I've hit a snagged, after finishing a rough draft with just lines and minor blocking, I realized I didn't have nearly enough content to fill even 3 comics in the first arc, so I've kinda added onto it by making Mephestio and a new no name villain for the arc have more of a presence. My problem is, the hit that I'm currently re-writing is a really boring piece of drama that gets done to death, the whole hero lies to hide their identity trope, I know where I want the story to go after that bit, but that bit is such a fucking mood kill that it saps my drive to continue.
Yandere Venom is best Venom
I want to get pegged by Mania.
>>80946497
because Venom vol.3 got cancelled so Bendis could have another toy
>>80946497
Because Bendis is a jew and hated the idea of a Reverend-esque hero, so he shot him down before he had a chance, but not before forcing Slott to toss in the Superior Venom arc to take the heat off him, "if enough people hated Superior Venom, how many people will hyped to find him on the GotG?" I'm sure this was Bendis' process
>>80946850
>Flash hasn't been written well since his own solo
Even then, I sort of hope he'll get his own new symbiote when Marvel eventually decides to throw the symbiote onto some other random guy.
>>80946497
Wait, didn't Scream get killed by the Symbiote-Hunter alien posing as a china cabinet in her house?
>>80946850
Doesn't the symbiote bond to its host on a cellular level? And didn't it take some crazy super-science for Parker and Richards to peel the damned thing off Spidey in the first place? How the fuck did she do that?
>>80946764
Why don't you post what you got so far?
>tfw no qt yandere symbiote to bond with you and give you powers
also
Post more qt symbiote girls please
>>80946933
Honestly, I really like Flash and Venom, they make a pretty good team, but if/when Marvel changes things up, considering that Stark and Flash seemed to be pretty cool, I'd like Flash to get the Superior Armor, Stark did develop it after symbiote biology after all.
Any ody here reading spiderman 2099? Just caught up and I kinda like it. Miguel's suit is fucking sick
>>80947062
I do too, but he's been horribly underutilized as of late that I'm getting the idea that as soon as Space Knight is canceled they'll toss the symbiote over to somebody else.
And it would really be a damn shame for Flash to go back to what he used to be, making him a hero was the best thing they've done with the character in years.
>>80946947
No idea.
>>80947007
Normally I'd say yes, but I don't know if Venom even saw Gargan as anything other than a temporary thing.
Even so, I definitely don't think it would work.
>>80947022
1. Almost all of it is hand written
2. There is WAY to much to actually post here
And 3. What I do have written/drawn on my tablet is very short. Like, less than 10 panels short.
>>80947140
You could pastebin it, either by writing all the text into there or by linking a pastebin with links to scanned imagery.
>>80947140
Just take pictures or something and slap it in an imgur album or something.
I'd take time to read it.
And I haven't tried anything like what you're doing with my 4 symbiote squad comic ideas, but I might get a better idea once I actually do the action figure comic thing.
How many pages are most comics?
>>80947103
>Bendis gives the symbiote to Kitty

>>80947173
After I have more to post up I will, I'll stop working on the hand written bits and go back and move everything to a digital copy.
>>80947229
Most comics are about 18-25 pages long, and usually about 95-110 panels
>>80947239

Venom is like the most homoerotic Spider-man villain, anon. Eddie and Peter basically wrestled on the beach in their underwear once.
>>80948675
What if I want it to be gay, though?
>>80948552
Assigning a gender to a creature that is amorphous is kind of backwards.
However I would argue that in more than a few stories it seems feminine. How it talks about its previous hosts and how it acts like a scorned lover.
Plus Humans just like assigning things to things. It's what we do.Personally I think it would make sense for it to change into whatever would make it's host more comfortable, a feminine or soft masculine tone depending on the host's 'preference'
>>80948695
You can have your symbiote form a dick inside of you, but I'll stay on the straight end of the spectrum andmake sure that dick is feminine.

I like the idea of a cute relationship between a guy and the weird ass alien attached to his body. I know they share thought but I like to imagine her doing the "it's nothing I'm fine" thing and his coercing what's wrong out of her and them making up. Or, y'know, her getting giddy at seeing something and him totally not getting it, so the suits face is a big smile but underneath he's just like "what." - Stuff like that.
Sort of like thighfriend, but less of a pet dog, and more of a, y'know, actual sentient, capable, qt girlfriend.

What's Eddie up to? I know he lost the Anti-Venom symbiote which pissed me off. Why do things I like in comics always end up shat on? Anyway does Eddie still have Toxin? Still an anti-hero. If he still has a symbiote and is fighting crime, that's fine by me.
I really liked the Anti-Venom symbiote though, dammit.
>>80949071
I don't think 616 Eddie has even appeared for multiple years by now.
>>80949071
>>80949090

>>80949071
lots of people around here liked anti-venom.
>>80949184
Is it any good?
>>80949210
Honestly my favorite comic at marvel right now.
>>80949210
I'm digging it, Eddie is basically Agent Toxin, working with the FBI to bring Carnage down, this all happens in an abandoned mine system. And just ro make things fun they tossed in some spooky occult eldrich bs.someone gets an upgrade. It has Carnage, Toxin and Man-Wolf John Jameson.
Friendly reminder that fapping to female symbiotes without a hair portion to their suits means you have a bald fetish.
>>80949210
Shockingly, yes. It takes the Symbiotes' alien origin in a kind of Lovecraft-light direction, with prophecies and cults and forbidden knowledge, and it all works really well.
>>80949290
But the hair portion looks goofy and stupid.
Mania is the only one who gets it right.
>>80949264
So Eddie as Toxin is still at least an Anti-Hero. That's good. Always liked Eddies inner conflict. I'm a sucker for redeemed or not all bad characters. Does he have all his old web/tendril/wallcrawl/etc powers as Toxin?
>>80949290

>>80949425
What's the armor for? Does it do something to the symbiote, or did he just make it form into that for some reason?
>>80949449
Haven't stated it directly, but the feds have control over whether Eddie gets the Symbiote at all, so the assumption I've made is that Toxin is doped up the same way that Venom was when Rebirth 2.0 gave it to Flash.
>>80949449
My guess is that Eddie saw how cool Flash looked with Venom on and decided to take up the look now that Flash is off world.
>>80949449
It's just part of the symbiote, just like Agent Venom. He's Agent Toxin for some reason now. He might just be doing it because he figures if he's working for the government, he might as well copy Flash. I don't hate it, but I wish his color scheme was flipped. I liked his old color scheme.

HAHA, YES
>>80956221
GWENOM IS GONNA BE A THING

That's my point, X-Men come from around the world, Spidey villains all come from NYC.
>>80956887
Eh.
>>80956887
I have 0 interest in this
why are we suddenly being bombarded with Gwens?
>>80957313
Yeah, all this Gwen is pretty uninteresting. I guess a few people at Marvel really want to push her for some reason. How good is Gwen selling?
>>80957313
I mean, pretty sure this is just an arc in the Spider Gwen series that takes place after the spider-woman crossover. Don't know why he said there might be a spin off, unless we get another alternate universe where she keeps the symbiote.
>>80957313
>suddenly
Uhh... this has been a trend for like a few years now.
Where have you been?
>>80957419
admittedly, I've been out of the loop for a while
Still, Spider-Gwen, Gwenpool, and now Gwenom?
Is she really popular enough to warrant this?
>>80957468
Spider-Gwen = Gwenom. They're the same character.
Gwenpool isn't Gwen Stacy. Its some character who is supposed to be from our world, named Gwen Poole, who got transported into Earth 616 and is fully aware that she's in a comic.
>>80957313
My interest with Spider-Gwen began and ended with Lizard-Peter. I thought that was a pretty cool concept, but he died in Gwen's intro, so I didn't have much to keep me enthralled.

Honestly, Spider-Gwen is so damn awful, it's like reading Ultimate comics all over again, it's just Gwen's world's entire theam is Gurl Powa.

>>80962326

seems like some good shit
>>80962345
This is pretty much just a preview, once my tablet charges I'll get more written, in the mean time this has given me motivation to keep working on the hand written draft. I think maybe I can get out of Mania's arc by the end of the week if I really buckle down
>>80960532
Through some shenanigans with the savage land, Deadpool teleported himself and a bunch of dinosaurs into new York. They immediately caused a car crash and an armored car was transporting symbiotes or something and it got on all the dinosaurs. A bunch of heroes were teaming up to stop them and Cable sent a spear from the future to disable the symbiote without killing the dinosaur. A symbiote got on Deadpool and started corrupting him, so he saved himself in the head with the spear.
>>80962411
man, seeing someone talk like that makes me want to get off my ass and finish my own shit.
>>80962586
Do it man, I figure it can't be that hard to get into writing comics so long as you're not expecting to make a lot of money. I need to hook up with an artist who can actually draw out the panels I have written. I mean, I have doodles for them, but good god they're so bad.
>>80962411
this line after P25 seems a little wonky
>Mania: (vo) We should have listened more when Coach was my raining us.
>>80962660
This is good shit, man, comes off real cinematic.
I like her wavering between Me and Us.
any idea how much your going to involve her stuff with the hell-mark?
>>80962411
>someone posts the triple sybiote pic I slapped together some time back
>it still has the black outline to the lower resolution antivenom
I could fix this by shrinking the other two properly.... But nah its fine.
>>80962756
Ment to be be Training, And You're right, It will be fixed later. As for your question about the hell-mark, the whole comic and everything involving Andi kind of centers around that mark, wuth Flash no longer there that leaves Andi vulnerable to Mephestio. The Anti-Venom arc follows Eddie, Flash, Illyana and Laura traveling into hell to get Andi back from Mephestio.
>>80962911
Yeah... gotta wonder if Flash gave Andi any of his contacts when he decided he wanted to fuck off after the Phoenix War and then fly to space.
That's gotta rub her raw, symbiote influence or no.
>>80963035
Flash comes back to Earth at the end of the Toxin arc, as Andi and Eddie are heading to New York to have Reed remove her symbiote. The second Flash enters the atmosphere, Mania goes balistic with rage and hurries on ahead of Eddie to kill Flash, but that's mostly fled by Mephestio and the Symbiote in Andi's eae, but make no mistake about it, she knows Flash abandoned her and is pissed off about it, that's what makes her such an easy target for Mephestio
So can Miser Negative actually be possessed by Symbiotes or is he immune somehow due to his Darkforce powers?
>>80963140
>>80963144
What if Mr. Negative got to Andi?
>>80963035
Also, during the Venom arc, Flash has a moment with Tony Stark where he chews him out for not doing what Flash asked, and that was keep an eye on Andi, but as we all know, Stark went and got Superior and didn't care about Andi.
>>80963339
You would get >>80962156 and >>80941555
>>80963368
ah, it always comes back to the CEO of Fuckup Industries, doesn't it?
Iron Man, King of the Idiots!
>>80963140
Alright, cool, definitely excited to see the whole thing now!
>>80963432
Well, yes, I didn't want to make Stark the fall guy here, but the person who suggested Flash go off into space and hang out with the Guardians was Stark, so, in universe, it really is all his fault. In reality it's all Bendis' fault.
>>80963395
Maybe, maybe not. Would he switch the symbiote aspect or the hellmark aspect?
>>80963468
You could write it off as a defective LMD Flash talked to once and then promptly self-destructed.
Sure.
Yeah.
>>80963450
I'll do my best to get done with Issue 1 asap anon. Who knows, if I do a good enough job, and the story gets popular enough we might actually see this comic printed in like 2019
>>80963468
Cap was his sponsor to the avengers. Why would he not ask him as well to keep an eye on Andi?
>>80963494
I think, seeing as how the symbiote is a clone lacking any real identity, that altering one would impact the other.
>>80963512
Naw, I like the idea that heroes make mistakes and have to deal with em, and LMD, while funny, kinda robs the moment.
>>80963554
This is actually a very good question, and I think it's because he knows he's on thin ice with Cap and knows that Stark is a bit more lenient. The guy probably looks at Cap as an idol like he does Spidey and doesn't want to have them ashamed to know him.
>>80953676
First mention of Hybrid this whole thread! Where's the love guys?
>>80962267
I really like this. I look forward to seeing this pan out.
And, just like >>80962586 this inspires me to pick up something I whipped up randomly almost two years ago.
>>80963611
I just like the idea of heores blaming their fuckups on faulty LMD's, like DOOM
Also, fair. Cap would probably be more than a little pissed about "Btw, accidentally got my teen neighbor girl's father killed, gave her an alien super-skin, and a pact with the devil". Stark's probably done that at least, like, four times.
>>80963611
OK that makes sense. I wouldn't want to admit to Cap that a kid has a demon symbiote thanks to me and her dad I'd dead. All said though I would like to see Flash adopt Andi if her relatives aren't the best situation for her.
>>80963708
Because he looks like a mothman.
Do you guys prefer the symbiote with or without sharp teeth?
I like venom without the teeth unless he is a villain.
>>80944677
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k70iKGjr-Zs
>>80963962
Honestly, I can go back and forth.
Giving the suit teeth adds more character, I think, but without is more superhero-y.
>>80963962
With the teeth, definitely.
>>80963878
>>80963776
I wasn't sure if Flash not wanting to dissapoint cap would be well recited or not, believe it or not I'm glad to have your guys' feedback and I find your opinions very very worth hearing. Please continue to pick apart the ideas that I have. So far, for sidecharacters I have a decent list
>Jack Russell
>Magik
>Blackheart
>Laura Kenny
>Dr Stange
>Spider-Man
>Black Cat
>Tony Stark (Superior armor)
And a few others too.
>>80964306
Dr. Strange would probably be pretty invested in Andi, yeah, good point.
I hadn't thought of that.
>>80964008
I really liked Flash's costume changing depending on his mood. From agent, to football player, to terror mode, to classic hulled out. It had a great variety.
>>80963611
Wasn't the devil symbiote influencing her? I can only imagine what an angelic symbiote would whisper to her. Would probably get rid of her piercings and stuff too.
>>80964381
At the end of the Venom arc, Mephestio kidnaps Andi down into Hell, Flash goes to Strange for help. Then the idea is not mentioned throughout the whole Scorn arc, but at the beginning of the Anti Venom arc Strange tells them that they need someone e else with a Hellmark, which is where X-23 comes in. Strange uses the marks as a focusing point to teleport the group into Mephestio's realm. Strange really only plays a hit part, Magik has a much bigger role than him.
>>80964461

if Mania could appear on one team, what would you want it to be?
>>80964786
web warriors of course
or maybe in a full symbiote team
>>80964786
Not New Warriors. If Kaine gets back to that team it'll cause drama we've all seen before. Not Avengers. Fuck those guys.

Futa Mania is best Mania
>>80978998Spaghetti Mania with a crush on Spider-Man is best Mania
Shit, spaghetti symbiote is best symbiote. Instead of wanting to kill him, every time it sees Peter it gets all awkward and shy, trying to convince him to take it back by being too nice. Of course when Peter says no because of its history of trying to kill him and terrorizing his loved ones, it turns yandere..
Then it eats a box of chocolate like a christmas cakey
Symbiote-fags, tell me if this is correct: I imagine the process of symbiosis ultimately being invasive, potentially rapey. It's not really a suit as far as I understand. It's not something merely external. I imagine it covers you, suffocatingly. Then it moves, slimy and aggressive, into every hole. Down the sides of your eyes, down your throat, all the other orifices. At the same time, in tiny wriggling, pricking hair-width tendrils it probes your pores. Millions of pinpricks pressing for entry, finding an entrance and becoming engorged.
It enters every single part of you, until you can no longer tell where it ends, and you begin. You no longer look out of your eyes, or move your arm. They belong to the symbiote. Or perhaps, to "us". You appear to be able to do things that no normal human can, but that is because 'you' cannot. You limbs are moved and modified by the symbiote. Every cell is compromised.
>>80979750
At its best, that is, what the Venom symbiote wanted with Peter (it tried to forcibly bond with him whwen he found it out, but bonding is a two way street, so it only hurt him. a lot) is commensalism. Both sides benefit. The things a host can do because of the symbiote is one side, and that the symbiote is able to leave and experience a bond with the host is the other.
This is for Venom's family only, as previous symbiotes were of the parasitic, suck em dry and leave em, nature. The ultimate symbiosis is where the host and symbiote become one, yes, but in terms of relationship it's like marriage.
I could be cynical andd say you described marriage, but separating from its host at this point is painful for the symbiote. When it left Peter it was in a lot of pain, but that wasn't a full bond, and it still saved him because it loves him.
Now, when he tricked it (asshole) to leave Eddie, it and him were in just as much pain as it tried to get back to Peter.
You paint it in a very bitter, cynical way. A commensalistic symbiote is the ultimate cohabitating partner. When the bond is mutual, it's loyal and gifts you with extraordinary abilities. A full bond is the ultimate commitment.
>>80979844
>leave
Live, dang it.
>>80979750
you are imagining too many middle steps. an unbonded symbiote is a shapeshifting suit. a bonded symbiote permeates you on the chemical level and can fleshcraft on the fly.
>>80979750
That sounds like complete parasitism, which the symbiotes technically are if you ignore what Bendis did with them. But Venom and it's descendants are different, they make you better, with some quite severe side effects but the host and the symbiote have a differing opinion on what constitutes "better". It doesn't seek outright control, it seeks equilibrium in both outlook and desires with the host. Without a host it lacks direction and initiative.
>>80979871
I think this distinction is what I'm missing: the idea of a bonded and unbonded suit. I take it this means that in the latter case it would just be a black suit that gives you a bit of a buff? But then, there was a bit more going on in Peter's case.
>>80979875
What I didn't really mention in my description was the will of the host. I imagine it would completely fuck with your head, and you would feel compromised on every level including the psychological. However, for much of the time it's still the host directing movement. No doubt you'd be second guessing yourself a lot of the time though; who was really making the decisions.
>>80979844
Not really trying to be cynical; I'm just saying that at a first pass, the symbiote doesn't know, or care, what you want. It wants to possess you. To be inside you. It 'bonds' with you for its own reasons. Because that is what it is. In time, yes, the relationship might change as it tends to do with prison rapists, but to paint it as any kind of consent in the first case is mostly disingenuous. Unless you have the symbiote in a cage and then release it onto you, I suppose.
Not saying I dislike the symbiotes or anything; in fact I'm a big fan of Brock and Carnage, and Gargan was pretty cool too. But there are some deeply questionable, even vile, aspects of its nature. Obviously I'd get one if I could.
>>80979750

>Not really trying to be cynical; I'm just saying that at a first pass, the symbiote doesn't know, or care, what you want. It wants to possess you. To be inside you. Well, in Venom's family, that was untrue. It chose Peter because it saw something good in him, was inspired by him. Plus, he saved it from such a long time of imprisonment. It had no ulterior motives at the time than peacefully coexisting with him, until he found out it was alive. I believe that it went along the lines of it was tryring to bond with him like it did with Brock, but that requires his permission, and he was hardly in the state to think rationally about anything.
Carnage too, was a 'good' symbiote of the commensalistic type... until it attached to Cletus almost immediately after its birth. The way symbiotes behave are based upon their hosts. Whatever heroic tendencies the Venom symbiote has, it got from Spidey, but it picked up most of its bad ones from Brock, Gargan, an essentially slumming it with askew of bad choices.
Immediately after birth, its first goal is to survive. Then, it needs to find a suitable host to stay with. They don't need to bond with the first host they meet, really they can hop to and fro, but Venom is a symbiote that despised doing that, and such was its relationship with Peter, so that aversion of drain em and leave em is inherent in its descendants.
In case you haven't noticed by now, I'm a big fan of Peter with the symbiote. Such a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.
Also, as far as I know, the Carnage symbiote was the only one to bond on a cellular level, giving Cletus a bunch of game-breaking powers.
>>80979946
>there was a bit more going on in Peter's case.
not really. it had infinite web, could store objects, and could disguise its appearance. and it could control his body in the same way you can control an unconscious person's body by moving their limbs
>>80980062
>Immediately after birth, its first goal is to survive. Then, it needs to find a suitable host to stay with. And I should say that the Venom symbiote was an old one when Peter found it. It saw the way its people treated hosts and rejected that, so it already knew how to live. It was perfectly fine with shacking up quietly with Parker, however due to the fact that it feeds on adrenaline, that obviously caused a bump in that relationship. It would late find out it could just eat chocolate. I'm sure it's bitter about that, and why Richards couldn't have foundd that out is beyond me.
I joke, they certainly didn't have that story in mind when they wrote the costume away. Also, they got rid of it because the fans hated it.
>>80980071
Not infinite webbing. It generates it from its body mass, which is how Peter defeated Venom the first time they fought in ASM#300: Eddie had poured GALLONS of the stuff into gluing Peter to the inside of a church bell and when Peter knocked him off the building and kept cutting his line, it just ran out and the symbiote focused on protecting its then-current host Eddie from the fall.
...yeah, it was kind of a bullshit win. But it's also canon.
>>80980109
>>80980109
>kind of a bullshit win
How? Peter used his brains. That's pretty spectacular, actually. It's not as if he pulled a sonic dildo from his ass and stabbed Venom with it.

>Spider-Man’s first major costume change remains his best. The black costume was first seen in Amazing Spider-Man #252 and his acquisition of the mysterious black goo that turned out to be an alien symbiote was detailed in Marvel Secret Wars #8. Reportedly, Marvel editor-in-chief and Secret Wars miniseries writer Jim Shooter wanted some new duds for the Web Slinger, and after much debate about what this costume should actually do, an all-black alternative was agreed upon. Unfortunately, the initial fan reaction to the suit was so negative, Shooter wanted to ditch the idea immediately (but was forced to wait until Amazing Spider-Man #258, the first Spidey comic to be released after Secret Wars #8 was published).
>But something happened over the course of those seven issues of Amazing Spider-Man that changed the jeers into cheers. After the symbiote was removed by the Fantastic Four, fans demanded that Spidey suit up in black again. To quiet the crowd, the black suit is reintroduced when Spider-Man’s (then) girlfriend, the Black Cat, sews her man a replacement and asks him to wear it again, saying she prefers the all-black look to the classic red and blues (and who are any of us to argue with the Black Cat?).
>Spidey continues to wear this non-alien version of the suit off and on until Amazing Spider-Man #300, when a sociopath named Eddie Brock acquires the symbiote and becomes Venom. Peter doesn’t don the black suit again until the 2007 “Back in Black” story (which was timed to coincide with the release of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, which also featured a symbiote/black costume sub-plot).

I believe there's a trade of the "Alien Costume Saga" for the very beginning, and I"m pretty sure any collection of Todd McFarlane's Spidey stuff will have ASM# 300 in it, if not more of Venom's earlier appearances. For newer stuff...hey, any of you guys wanna help me out, here?
>>80980175
There was an earlier appearance of the black costume post-Venom, coincidentally ALSO called "Back in Black" I believe, in the 90s while McFarlane was writing and drawing the adjectiveless "Spider-Man" book. Peter wore it during a two-part team-up with Morbius.
Why have so few storylines gone after the yandera plot point when it's the most interesting element ABOUT the venom symbiote?

Unless you just want fun (read: non-overarching, long winded) stories. If you do, read Marvel Adventures. The second volume has little to do with the first, and is less episodic. I'm ... not even sure if the fist volume is in the same universe, but if it is, it's hardly referenced and is a book on its own, like the Venoms or Scarlet Spiders. If anything, it's the road to Vol. 2, which is great in my opinion.
So Frogman is a D-lister with presumably shitty cardio and springs in his boots paired with surprising flexibility and an especially silly costume? The moment where he declares the "Wacky Mutant Misadventures of Frogman and Ms. Marvel" was quite a highlight. Would read more of. Reminds me somewhat of the Great Lakes Avengers.
Would you want a non-Bendis writer to bring back the evil Klyntar Empire?
If so, how would you want it done?
Also, best symbiote colors?
>>80981276
Sorry, this is obviously the wrong thread.
>>80981313
1. Yes, because the Venom symbiote was made unique and compelling by being the first (seen) rebel of its species.
2. No fucking clue. Whoever told the tale of the klyntars were an alternate universe version of them, displaced and at odds with their counterparts since a long time ago, so that the symbiotes are actually really fucked up and shitty, but these guys have a different history and view on it?
3. Black, blue, white.
>>80981424
I like the idea that there are pure-good symbiotes out there, but they are far, far fewer than the adrenaline junky murder-monsters that plague the galaxy.
Does being good or evil confer different powers to the host?
I know complete bonds do.
>>80981510
>Does being good or evil confer different powers to the host?
Seems so. Spidey didn't get any powers aside from organic webbing an hammerspace, and limited shapeshifting abilities. Brock got the whole fucking kit and kabootle. Unfair.
>>80977854

>>80982456
It's a chemical in the brain that the symbiote needs. Can't remember if it's endorphins or something else, but either way that's why he swapped it for chocolate.
>>80982509
ah, right.
>>80981855
I wonder if it ever has thoughts of Parker run mind so much that the host gets angry. Since its memories and some feelings are genetic, the other symbiotes would feel the same way, to a lesser extent ofc.
