It's easily possible. But it's not going to happen. The most recent (but still very old) set of updates revolving around the post-retcon meetup showed that. Hussie set a field and dramatic plot convolution to try and ground the story, lay out the remaining characters and their emotional and developmental stakes going into the final confrontation, setting up a coherent narrative that ties all that has yet happened (albeit extremely awkwardly what with the retcon) to what was about to happen. And then what does he do? He doubles down on the irrelevant bullshit that has nothing to do with anything with this Sprite squared bullshit, continued ballooning the number of characters and character interactions until they become meaningless.

Hussie gonna Huss. He can't stop this train, it's not in his nature, he can only control what it crashes into.

For example, people hypothesized that Tavros was actually crippled and Kanaya was a guy, so Hussie just threw in that Tavros WAS in fact crippled, and referenced people mistaking Kanaya for a guy through one of her conversations with John. Of course, it also can be detrimental. Speculation that any of the characters are fat is common and usually unfounded (Your son fucking disgusts me), but when Caliborn insulted Jane and called her fat people (read: Tumblr) latched into this and proclaimed her fat while also somehow simultaneously decrying Caliborn as being a big meanie fatshaming Janey. Come the Vriskagram, the terrible submitted fanart Hussie included depicted her as a walking tree trunk. The whole CAUCASIAN joke backpedaling lead to tons of terrible "depictions" of the characters that no longer even remotely resemble the canon appearances.

I can see where you're coming from. I did not give a shit about Homestuck from late 2013 to now. I would check the site if I had heard it updated but stop bothering to check after a few updates.

But I reread again from the beginning after trying to catch up and realising that I couldn't remember a thing. Act 6 was shaky but not bad. It's not as good as the old stuff but it isn't irredeemably terrible. There were plenty of good parts and a few good new characters. Terezi: Remem8er was a really good moment and kind of justified a lot of what had happened earlier, and made me hope that Hussie has gotten back on track for a good ending.
