Thing is we could let it rest and then another one could never be made. It's a shame, now that it's cancelled these threads are few and far between, and actually getting a decent amount of discussion and posting in one is a different matter altogether.
I think this should probably be the last one. Though we've had two I still don't really feel "done" if that makes sense. It feels like there's much more left to post and discuss

I wonder if you guys have noticed, but did you realize that none of the sets of pictures is complete?
That is one of the most frustrating things about searching for References for this franchise.
Except for Secret Of The Wings, Disney never releases a complete set of renders from the cast. A fairy or two are always missing.
For Pirate Fairies they made only four posters with the girls in their Pirate dresses, even if there were seven.
For Lost Treasure, only four out of five characters got renders in their Autumn outifts.
Rinse and repeat.

I like that major studios still create real-world models to get an idea of proportion, scale etc. before laser scanning them into computers.

It is possible. I find some of these sculptures too detailed for them to have been intended to be mass produced.
Cody posted pictures of sculptures that did get produced, and they are considerably lower in quality.

This type of model is why I thought they may be the pre-vis versions that get scanned, because they'd just drop whatever cloth is necessary onto the base 3D render.
At the beginning anyway, then the computer model will contain the clothes by default once they had been decided on.

No worries m8. In English "clipping" wings describes trimming a bird's wing feathers to stop them from flying. They can grow back and the bird can fly again later, it's rather less drastic than cutting wings off completely.

Whatever happened during the production of Pixie Hollow Games really fucked up their schedule.
Though sales probavly would've dropped regardless, the franchise had some years on it already, and with Frozen and Sofia, and the redesign of the Princess line and then Palace Pets, Fairies probably had no future even in the best of cases.

They even release some footage about the island version of the movie. I think the boring answer is that Disney doesn't like defined boobs in their children's CGI characters. Apparently huge hips and asses are fine, but no tits.It's exactly the same in Star Wars Rebels, which is horribly disappointing since some Clone Wars girls were stacked.

It's quite difficult to keep a thread good on an imageboard when you can't post images any more, you soon realize how linked the conversation is with the images. Even talking about books, the fact I can't post interior pictures or covers feels like it's hindering the conversation.
Pic dumps are nice occasionally, but they can kinda prevent threads from evolving into conversations because the content is coming too fast for people to comment on it.

Personally I was just hoping other people still wanted to discuss things, so was trying to stir up discussion with my book talk (I don't just bump without content personally). There's nothing inherently wrong about the image dumps anyway, I think they can promote discussion too and some of the screens were damn nice.
In terms of discussion itself, it was three threads, it's not surprising that the images outweighed the discussion since we've talked about the movies before. They finished a while ago now and they're not really fresh on many peoples mind.
