Taller animals have less teats since they only have one cub at once, and they rarely lie down.

Also, not all mammals menstruate, only primates and elephants (?) I think. Female dogs and a bunch of other animals leak blood during heat but it's not uterine lining, you'll notice there's never an occasional chunk like humans.

Marsupials also wouldn't, as their fetuses mostly develop outside the reproductive system (which is also weird as fuck, kangaroos have three vagina-like canals).
